I'm starting my freshman year of college. I'm told I will be roommates with Ashtyn Black. It turns out the college made a mistake and now we have to adjust to living with the opposite gender.

I wake up to my alarm clock ringing. It's 4:30am. Way to early to be getting up. Me, Ash and my brother decided to leave and head to Colorado first thing the next morning. We weren't leaving until 6:00am but I hadn't finished all my packing.
I threw the rest of my clothes and girl products into my bag and decided to wake up Ash. I shook his arm and he grunted and rolled over to face me.
"Get up we only got 30 minutes until we need to meet at the truck." He sighs and sits up.
"Do you mind looking away so I can change real quick?" He shakes his head no and buries his head back in the pillow.
I threw on light grey joggers with a black shirt. I also asked ash if I could borrow a hoodie since his was way bigger and comfier on me. After I changed Ash went to the showers to change.

We grabbed our suitcases and went down to my truck. To my surprise Luke and Kayley was leaned up against it.
"Girl what are you doing here?"
"I heard y'all were going home for a few days so I thought why not join. I can miss two classes. After all it's just boring lectures." She shrugs and I laugh.
I toss the keys to my brother and he gets in the driver seat. Kayley calls shot gun so I'm stuck in the back with Ash. At least I get a comfy seat. I lay my head in ash's lap so I can go to sleep.
I wake up two hours later when I feel a hand going through my hair. "Sorry. You looked peaceful so I didn't want to wake you."
"It's okay."
"So Ashton, what are you going to major in?" Luke's voice comes from the front seat.
"I'm gonna be a large animal vet tech, the same as your sister. We have the same classes as well."
"It sounds like you two spend a lot of time together." Luke's eyes meet mine in the rear view mirror.
"Luke we are roommates and he happens to be cool. He's been a great friend the past two weeks that's all."
"You just better not hurt her." Luke says and I inwardly groan. He can be so protective. I bury my head back into Ash for another hour of sleep.
When I wake up we are in an Arby's drive thru. "I ordered you two chicken sliders." Luke says.
"Thank you."
"No problem sis." Luke pulls around to the window and pays for our food. Ash got a chicken sandwich. Luke and Kayley got gyros. I wasn't to hungry so I only ate one slider.
"How far from home are we?" I ask.
"Another hour and we should be there." Luke says. I can't wait to be home to see my parents and my animals. The worst part of going to college so far from home you have to leave behind all your pets. I have two horses and a puppy that is mine.
