We got back to the college yesterday. We have three days left before classes start back. I decided it was time that I should start looking for an apartment.

"Do you think you could come with me to look at apartments?" I asked ash.

"Sure babe. I'd be happy to."

"Okay. Thank you. I'm going to get dressed and then I have a meeting with a real estate agent." He nods and slipped a shirt on. He turned around and I put on light ripped blue jeans and an oversized sweater. I left my hair down in its natural waves.

He turned back around and stared

He turned back around and stared. "Woah." He said.

"What? Is something wrong?" I ask worriedly.

"No, no it's just. You grew." He said and I looked at him shocked. "I mean you got a bump now. I see the baby." He smiled and walked over to me and hugged me tight.

Sure enough when I looked in the mirror my belly had popped out a lot since the last time I looked.  I smiled down and he wrapped his arms around my belly.

Before we could leave there was a knocking at the door. I opened it to find Kayley standing there out of breath.

"Thank god y'all were still here. I basically sprinted over here." She said still slightly out of breath.

"We were just about to leave. Did you need something?"

"Yes. I have an idea for the apartment." She said and I was confused.

"What?"

"I have a deal. You get a three bedroom apartment. I could live in the small spare bedroom. I'd help you with rent and the bills since I would be living there and once you have the baby I could help with him or her."

"That's actually a good idea. What do you think ash?" I want to make sure he's okay with her staying in the apartment.

"If it's good to you then it's good to me. I just want you happy." He always melts my heart when he says things like that.

"Well then it's settled. Now let's go before we are late." We all walk down to the local park where we are meeting the agent. She has brown hair and looks to be in her forties.

"It's nice to meet you. I'm the real estate agent. My name is Debby. I'll just ask you questions and find houses that should match to you." She said and we all nod.

"First of all. Who will be paying for rent?"

"We will be splitting it."

"If one of you can't come up with enough, will the other one pay it?"

"Yes. It will be my apartment but my friend will be staying there and helping with rent. I have a stable bank account so there won't be a problem with coming up with the rent."

"Very well. How many will be staying in the apartment?"

"Well there's me, kayley, ash will be there sometimes and the baby once it arrives. I also have a pit bull puppy. He's completely trained though."

"So a baby and pit bull?" She asks. I nod. "Well that will mark out some of the ones near here. They don't allow Pits or babies under three due to noise complaints."

"Okay that's fine." I said. I hate that they have rules with Pitts when if it was a lab, they would welcome it.

"How many rooms and what are you looking for in the apartment?"

"I'm looking for at least three rooms and two bathrooms. Open floor plan and spacious. Newly remodeled. Washer and dryer in the apartment. And preferably closer to the ground floor since we will have a baby."

"Okay. I have a couple in mind. I will take you to them right now." She says and smiles. Luckily they are all in walking distance.

The first one wasn't real big. It was on the ground floor but it didn't excite me too much. It didn't feel like home. The second one seemed a little bit better but it still didn't feel completely right. It was missing the homey feel that it should give off.

The third one however was amazing. It had a dog park on the back side along with a kid area. When you walked in you were in the kitchen. It had white cabinets and a white and black marble counter top. It had beautiful chandeliers hanging over the island. You then went straight in the living room and it had a gas fire place with a big screen tv hanging over top of it. On the one side of the living room was a room and en-suite bathroom. On the other side was a hallway with two rooms and a huge bathroom. The first room would make a great nursery. The last room at the end of the hall was huge. It had a big walk in closet and you could access the bathroom from the hallway or from the bedroom. The views were also amazing. They over looked the city and you could see the ocean far off. It completed everything on my wishlist.

I smiled over to kayley and ash. Ash returned my smile. "I love it."

"I do to." Ash said.

"How much is the rent for this one?" I asked the agent.

"$200 a month."

"I'll take it." I happily said. I am renting my first apartment, with my best friend and a baby on the way.

"You can move in next week. It doesn't come furnished so you will have to purchase your own." We nodded and she handed us the keys. She left us in what will be our new house.

"I can't believe I just got my first house. Even if it's an apartment I'm still excited." I said smiling.

"I'll miss you at the dorm though." Ash said with a pout.

"I was thinking. What if you move in here too. I want you to be close to me and when the baby gets closer you can be here in case I go in labor or something." I said and smiled sheepishly at him.

"Really? What about Kayley? She's taking the extra room."

"'You could sleep in my room. Or if you don't want to we can put a bed in the room that will be the nursery until the baby gets here." I say. I really want him here. He's the best thing that's happened to me.

"Okay." He says.

"Okay?" He nodded and smiled. He hugged me and spun me around.

This is another new chapter in my life. I don't know how it's going to turn out but hopefully I will have ash and I'll have kayley and my brother through it all.
