It's been a month since Janets boat was declared missing at sea. We have yet to hear any news. The first few days the boat was all over the news along with pictures of all the people on board.

Ash hasn't been himself. He is trying to stay strong for Addie but I can see through it. Josh moved out and found him an apartment in our building. He's upstairs from us so he still comes by at least once a day. Kayley still lives with us but she stays with Josh a lot now too.

We moved all of Addies stuff into the room that is going to be the nursery. We aren't for sure what we are going to do yet when the twins get closer to their due date. Addie still doesn't know the truth about her mom. Ash is struggling to find a way to tell her.

"Want to go to the park?" I ask Ash. "I have to walk Mac and I figured Addie could play on the play ground."

"Yeah sure." He got up and we walked out to get Addies shoes on. I put a leash on Mac and we walked to the park. I let Mac run on the dog park while we watched Addie go down the slides.

"I really need to tell her." Ash said.

"I know it's going to be hard but she really does need to know the truth. She's a smart kid and she's probably picking up that somethings wrong." I agree with him.

"Will you come with me when I take her out for ice cream? I'm going to tell her then." He said.

"Of course I will." I give him a side hug and lean into him. It's hard to get a real hug since the twins are poking out of my stomach. I'm huge and I'm only 26 weeks.

"Come on Addie, we are going to go shopping and then stop for ice cream." I tell her and she runs out of the room to get her shoes. Ash was already waiting in the truck for us.

Finally I got addies shoes on and we made it to the mall. We first went to bye bye baby to find stuff for the babies room. We got a light gray rocking chair, two white cribs, and a wooden dresser for the baby clothes. We also got a changing table and some clothes and toys. Babies are very expensive.

We dropped the stuff off in the apartment before going to the ice cream place near campus. I ordered a vanilla shake while Ash and Addie got chocolate.

"Addie, I want to talk about something." Ashs said to her. She was sitting in between me and ash.

"Otay ashy." She said.

"It's about you momma." He said with a soft tone.

"I miss momma." Addie said and I felt my heart break for this little girl.

"Addie, your mom went on the business trip but her boat is still out in the ocean." Ash started.

"So momma is stuck in the ocean?" Addie asked.

"Kinda. Your moms boat is missing out in the ocean. Nobody can find the boat or the people on the boat."

"Is the boat playin hide n seek?" Addie said so innocently.

"In a way yes."

"How long will they play?" Ugh I feel so bad for her. She's so young and she shouldn't have to go through this.

"We don't know addie. It could be for a few more days or it could be forever." Ash mumbled but loud enough that she heard it.

"I won't get to see momma no more, will I ashy?"

"We still have some hope left but it could be a possibility." Ash said and Addie scooted into my side. I wrapped my arm around her and she buried her head into my shirt.

"Ashy? You guys won't leave me will you?" She said with a tear running down her cheek.

"Never. Now let's finish up our ice cream and head back to the apartment."

We finished up and drove back. The boxes had been moved and I looked to ash in curiosity. We walked to the nursery to see it all set up. The cribs had been built and everything was where it should be. It was even decorated.

"Surprise!" I heard behind me and turned to see Josh, Kayley, Luke and Melody

"Surprise!" I heard behind me and turned to see Josh, Kayley, Luke and Melody.

"We knew you guys were busy so we thought we would help and set everything up." Kayley said smiling.

"Thank you. All of you." I said and had a big grin on my face. "Wait where's all of Addies stuff?"

"Well we came up with a great idea after looking up some Pinterest ideas." Melody said and walked us to the empty closet that was in the hallway.

When she opened the door o was shocked. They had built a little treehouse loft that had a bed in it. Underneath the loft was all of Addies toys and her books were hung on the wall. There was a small dressed right by the door that had most of her clothes. Her dresses was hung above the dresser on a closet rod.

"Wow

"Wow. How did you guys manage to do all this?" I was utterly shocked.

"I honestly have no idea but we did." My brother says rubbing the back of his head. I threw my arms over him and hugged him along with the rest of the group. I was so thankful that they did this.

"Addie." Ash called for her. She came bouncing down the hallway with Mac right behind her. "Do you like your new room?"

She squealed and ran up the ladder so I took that as a yes. "We made a safety net that you can zip up at night to make sure she doesn't fall out if you want to." Josh said.

"She'll probably need it. She's like her mom, very clumsy." Ash laughed. Addie came back down the ladder and sat in the floor playing with her dolls. She looked content. Ash did as well. I finally felt a relief. Addie knows about her mom and is accepting it. I know it will be a long road but through it all I have Ash and my family and friends.
