It's been two months since we got married. I've been feeling bad for the past week so today I decided to call Kayley and ask her to bring a pregnancy test over. My period was late and I was having all the symptoms.

"Hey, hey. Kayley to save the day!" Kayley came in yelling.

"Shhh. The twins are asleep." I shushed her.

"Oops sorry. Where's Addie and Ash?"

"Ash took Addie to her new school and then he went over to the clinic." We finally finished our move back to Texas last week. Ash got a job at the local vet clinic and we had already enrolled Addie in school. I'm still at home with the twins but I have a job to do from home that pays pretty well. Our house here in Texas is wonderful. It's huge and beautiful on the inside and out.

"Oh okay. I brought two different kinds. I wasn't sure which one you would like." Kayley said and handed me two different boxes. I grabbed both and went in the bathroom. I peed on each stick and covered them up to wait the three minutes.

*beep beep beep*

The timer went off and me and Kayley ran to the bathroom. We each grabbed the box and uncovered the tests. The digital one read pregnant and the other one had two pink lines. I'm pregnant. I'm having another baby. Damn. I wonder how Ash is going to take this news. It hasn't even been a whole year since I had the twins.

"Congratulations girly. I'm so happy. I get to have another niece or nephew." She said and hugged me.

"How should I tell ash?"

"I think you should put the tests in a gift bag and when he gets home tell him you got him a present. He will be surprised." She said and I thought about it.

"That's actually a great idea. He should be home soon and I'll have it ready."

An hour later Ash pulled up the driveway. I was so nervous to tell him. He walked through the door and my heart beat even faster. "Hey beautiful." He said.

"Hey, how was your day?"

"It was alright. Better now that I get to be here with you." He said and I smiled.

"I have a present for you." I said and handed him the bag.

"What's this?" He took out the tissue paper and reached down in the bag. He pulled out both of the tests and looked at them. A smile went over his face. "You're pregnant?" I nodded.

"Holy fuck. We're having another baby. Oh my I'm happy." He said and hugged me. I couldn't help but laugh at him.

————- Three Months Later————-

Addie held the giant scissors in her hand as Ash and I had a twin in our arms with our free arm holding onto the big balloon. "3,2,1.... Pop." Our family screamed. Addie poked the balloon with the scissors and pink powder covered all of us.

I squealed and hugged onto Ash's side. "It's a girl." I whispered to him. I've always wanted to have a baby girl to dress up. My boys are great but they couldn't wear dresses and bows. My life is great.

———— Two Months Later————-

I went to sleep around 10 o'clock. Pains were shooting through my stomach so I thought resting would help. An hour later the pain intensified. I went to the bathroom and noticed I was bleeding a lot.

I ran back to the room to wake up Ash. He grabbed the keys and we took off to the hospital. He called my mom over incase the twins or Addie woke up. He carried me into the hospital and demanded I be seen right away.

They took me back to a room and the doctor came in. The last thing I heard was 'we have to do an emergency surgery'.

I woke up hours later with a weird feeling in my stomach. Subconsciously I rubbed my hand over my belly and gasped. I no longer had a belly. It was flat. I started panicking.

"Shhh shhh. I'm right here." Ash said and hugged my shoulders.

"My baby girl. Where's my baby girl?" Before Ash could say anything the doctor walked in.

"Mrs black, good to see your awake. I will go over everything with you. Firstly we had to do an emergency cesarean section to have a chance at saving your baby. You were bleeding an awful lot so that was the only way. To get you to stop bleeding we had to preform a hysterectomy. You're baby girl is fine. She's tiny but developed enough to have a chance at life."

"Wait a hysterectomy? That means I won't be able to get pregnant again?"

"That's right miss. I'm very sorry but it was to save your life." The doctor said and walked out of the room.

———————————

The past month was hard. Our baby girl, Cassidy Faith Black was finally able to come home. She only weighed 3lb 6oz. She was very tiny and it took a while to get used to it. The twins were adjusting as well. Addie was ecstatic that she now had a sister.

I may not be able to have anymore kids but right now life is perfect. Adoption is always a possibility in the future if we ever feel like our home is too empty.
