A FIRE EXTINGUISHER flew through the dark blue portal connecting Five and Quincey to a different point in time. "Is that them?" Quincey asked the boy, referring to the five adults located on the other side of the portal.
"Yes, that's them, I'll introduce you to them, once we arrive." The to 58 year olds held hands. Five tried to project his consciousness to the point in time, eight days before the end of the world.
A scream escaped Quincey's mouth as butterflies filled her stomach. Her and Five hit the ground with a thump, slowly they stood up, their gaze fixed on the adults infront of them.
"Does anyone else see little Number Five and some random girl, or is that just me?" A man wearing a long black skirt and an equally long black coat asked the adults surrounding him, while they approach the - now - thirteen year olds.
Quincey and Fives faces contort into confused expressions. They look at each other, eyes widened, then look down at themselves.
"Shit." They spoke to each other.

The group reformed in the kitchen, Five grabbed a chopping board and bread. "What's the date?" Five asked his siblings. "The exact date." Quincey chimed in, the Hargreeves siblings give her a confused look, wondering who she is.
"The 24th." Said Vanya, the shortest one with her hair tied back in a ponytail. "Of what?" Five asked. "March." Five and Quincey sigh before saying 'good' at the same time.
"So are we going to talk about what just happened and who she is?" Luther questioned Five, giving Quincey a dirty look when asking who she is. Five simply doesn't answer, laying out four bits of bread on the board.
"It's been seventeen years." Luther stood up, his large frame towering over Five and Quincey.
"It's been a lot longer than that." Five seethed before spacial jumping to the cupboards behind Luther.
"I haven't missed that."
Five grabbed some marshmallows from the cupboard. "Where'd you go?" Diego asked not even being bothered to look at Five.
"The future." Five replied while jumped by back to his original position infront of the chopping board. "It's shit by the way." Five stated. "Called it." Klaus said pointing a finger in the air.
"Quince can you grab the peanut butter from the fridge?" Five smiled towards Quincey.
Quincey felt like she shouldn't be there, like she was intruding. She didn't want to upset Fives family, but Five reassured her that everything would be fine.
Quincey nodded before the refrigerator door opened and the peanut butter jar flew to the table. The Hargreeves siblings look shocked but Five just continued talking.
"I should've listened to the old man. You know, jumping through space is one thing but jumping trough time a toss of the dice." Five spread peanut butter into the slices of bread. "Nice dress" Quincey said to Klaus from where she was standing, at the corner of the table.
"Oh, well danke." Klaus said spinning a tassel on the bottom of the skirt around.
"Wait, how did you get back?" Vanya interrupted.
"In the end I had to project my consciousness forward into a suspended quantum state version of myself that exists across every possible instance of time." Five explained, still putting the sandwiches together.
"That makes no sense." Diego mentioned.
"Well, it would if you were smarter." Five's retort caused Luther to have to put an arm up to stop a furious Diego.
"How long were you there?" The huge man asked.
"Forty-five years. Give or take." Quincey chimed in again.
"So what are you saying? You're 58?" Luther asked, a shocked expression visible on the siblings faces.
"No, our consciousness' are 58. Apparently our bodies are now thirteen again." Five finished the sandwiches, passing one to Quincey. She slowly ate it.
"Wait, how does that even work?" Vanya asked, Five ignored her question.
"Quincey did keep telling me the equations were off. Bet you're wishing I listened to you now." Five said glancing at Quincey while saying the last part, while also taking a bite of his sandwich.
"Guess we missed the funeral." Five picked up the newspaper sitting on the table.
"How'd you know about that?" Luther asked Five.
"What part of the future do you not understand?" Quincey rhetorically asked the man, now finished her sandwich.
"Heart failure huh?" Five questioned his siblings "Yeah." "No-"
"It's nice to see nothing's changed." Five wrapped his arm around Quincey's waist before the two walk out.
"Uh, that's it? That's all you have to say?" Allison asks, it being the first thing she's said while Five has been back.
"What else is there to say?" Five asked. "The circle of life."
