Chapter 3 Dantooine

(Bly's perspective)

What the hell just happened she took off my helmet just so she could leave I don't understand her at all.

1 day later

I get off my bed still confused after yesterday I haven't seen her since then and I'm meant to be fighting alongside her I'm her next in command but won't be any good if she does that to me again on the battlefield. I get up off the bed and put on my armour and put on my helmet which I hope to keep on I put my rifle in my hip and head toward the bridge. Once I finally arrived I was greeted by Lieutenant Galle. "Commander" he said nodding at me "Lieutenant" I replied sounding professional. I looked around the room and no general in sight which was probably for the better "sir we're going to arrive at Dantooine momentarily" the naval officer said. "Good" I replied I just stood looking into hyperspace waiting to see a planet.

"We're dropping out of hyperspace now" the naval officer said and I saw the planet it looked nice I could see clouds ,water and brown grass from here at least. I then heard the doors open up I turned to see General Secura alright I must sound professional as this is an actual mission I saluted her as she walked toward me. "Sir" I said she smiled " commander no name" she replied so she still hasn't let that go fine we'll go with no name for now I thought. She stood next to me "we will be landing soon general" the naval officer said coming up behind us "thank you officer" she said looking back at him as he walked away. I didn't turn around I just stood staring at the planet as we slowly got closer. After a few minutes I turned to my right to see the general smiling at me I shook my head when I saw her "is there an issue general" I said sounding nervous that I did something wrong as always.

She chuckles "I just asked you if you want to see the plan or do you want to keep daydreaming" it seems like she had been speaking and I didn't hear a bloody thing "oh um of course general" I said immediately. She walked over to the holomap and I followed behind her. She turned it on and Lieutenant Galle was also there along with our naval officer.

"Alright troopers we will land at the abandoned factory which at the moment has many droids there waiting for us there is about 100 battles so we'll land around 800 meters away and commander you will take the troops around the south while I'll take the rest of the troops around the north we will box in the clankers and before we'll know it we will have the base understood" she ordered but I felt like it won't be enough "what about artillery" I questioned looking at the general. "We'll be walking we won't need it, it's to slow it won't keep up and the droids will see that coming". "With all respect general I don't think we have any cover and they will see us land anyway so maybe artillery won't be a bad idea" I said to her as there isn't many rocks for cover and the grass isn't particularly tall so we can hide aswell is they will see us land 800 meters away. She didn't speak she just looked at the map I don't know if she liked my ideas but this is war after all.

"Alright commander but there is an issue we believe there are cannons which will destroy all our artillery before it even gets there so if anything I suggest only AT-RTs" I do not understand my general she is going to use that crap they did terrible on geneosis. "General the AT-RT is very in affective and should only really be used for recon" she looked at me disappointed I felt like I had done something wrong but I'm just trying to do what is right for the battalion. "Then what do you purpose" she said looking at me crossing her arms. "I have an idea how about we do send are troops to the south and north as you said and we take care of the cannons then Lieutenant Galle can bring our artillery to help out in the battle". "But I want to be in the action" he whined loading his blaster "I don't care" I snapped at him. The general was thinking and after about a minute "okay commander we'll go through with your plan" I nodded at her "thank you general" she smiled faintly back at me and left probably to the hanger. I heard Galle sigh and I saw the naval officer head up to the bridge.

The ship came into the atmosphere and we landed as we came out I took 50 troops and general Secura also took 50 and without even speaking to me we parted ways I headed to the south while she went north in my group was Sargent Wobani aswell as Cameron and Flash. We headed toward the Factory and we were close enough so I could see the cannons there were only 2 which was manageable and they hadn't noticed us we were hiding behind trees. I don't know why but I had a horrible feeling that something bad was happening and I couldn't get it to go.

(Tactical droid's perspective)

The tactical droid was sat inside at one of the cannons and saw movement near the trees "open fire at the tree over there" it ordered.

"Roger roger"

(Bly's perspective)

The cannon aimed at us "take cover" I shouted at my troops and we all scattered away from the tree which was hit and fell down the cannon fired at us again hitting and killing 3 of my troops but before it could fire again it was hit but one of our AT-TE fired at the cannon and as the cannon aimed to fire back it was destroyed by another blast from the AT-TE the blast destroyed the droid using the cannon and the racial droid nearby. This sent the battle droids toward and I ordered my men to get into cover and luckily they followed my orders as we all got behind the fallen tree and began firing at the incoming droids but what I didn't notice was the second cannon aiming to fire at me as I destroyed my 4th battle droid I looked to see the cannon fire luckily I was near no men so I would be the only one to die I covered my face as it came toward me but there was just smoke what had just happened? Well I'm not dead that's one thing I looked up to see my general had blocked the blast saving my life she looked down and smiled at me. The feeling that something bad was going to happen disappeared I smiled under my helmet at my general.

She then jumped off the tree and destroyed about 8 battle droids that were heading toward my men "come on commander" she shouted at me as our artillery had just arrived and had destroyed the second cannon and Aayla soldiers were there as well "come on you heard the general" I shouted to my men "let's go" Cameron shouted as we all ran to join the charge in taking the factory which absolutely destroyed the droids and we only ended up with 23 casualties and 9 injured.

The battle was over but we still had another 4 factories to take and a village under threat but we had done our part for today. I was sat upstairs in a small room with my armour on as always and my rifle leaning against the wall I had my feet up on the table until I heard a knock at the door.

(Aayla's perspective)

I knocked on the door the rest of the troops told me he was inside here I hope they're right "come in" he shouted but I didn't know if it was him since all clones sounded the same because there clones that is obvious. As I opened the door I saw him still with his armour on and his legs up "am I ever going to find you not with your armour on commander" i smirked "um probably not" he replied trying not to sound nervous but I knew he was. "I just wanted to say how well you did to day with the plan and your troops" I spoke softly and my lekku turned more of a green. "Well general if that cannon hit me none of it would have mattered so thanks for saving my life" he said taking his feet off the table.

I smiled "your welcome" I said it like it didn't matter that much like it was a casual thing to do but obviously it wasn't. There was a pause in conversation as we just stared at it each other I then decided to break the silence. "You remind me of my master" I smiled as I said it he didn't reply so I carried on "I see a bly of my master in you, you try and not act soft but you really are". I heard him chuckle and then he looked up at the ceiling it seemed like he was thinking so I didn't disturb him. "I like the sounds of that" he said after his thinking was over and looked back at me "Bly" he said sounding slightly excited "thanks general" I looked at him and smiled "your welcome commander Bly" I stood up and headed toward the door "looks like I saved your life and gave you a name all in one day" I laughed and he didn't though still trying to be professional. "Good night Bly" I said as I opened the door still smiling. "Good night commander" he replied so I had to remind him I turned my head still smiling and said "Bly it's Aayla" I laughed "sorry" he replied nervously I laughed at his nervousness it seemed like he was one of a kind.
