Chapter 16 life or death

(Bly's perspective)
(Year 6 bjp) (Year 6 years before Jedi purge)

Our gunship was flying in on Lahn to help aid Coleman Kcaj and his new clone commander, commander Monnk which will be the first time I've seen him since we Vassek. We are here to help fight the civil war which is going on between the Moncalmari and nautlons who are both on the side of the republic and the quarren who have joined the separatists and are being led by Asajj Ventress. This is happening due to the qaurren having a disagreement on how they are taking care of this planet. Either way it's just war for us I am in a gunship with Aayla, Wobani,Cameron and Martin along with many other troops who I don't know the names of we all have Scuba armour with yellow markings and the doors open near the ocean which means we're about to jump in. We have brought half our battalion while our other half is in the Venator with Galle.

"Captain Stag don't stick around here for too long as we don't want you getting shot out of the sky" Aayla ordered to our pilot "Yes general he replied". Aayla didn't have her normal clothes she had scuba gear it was Blue and black and she had a glass helmet so she could breath. Once she got off the comm with Stag she looked at me and smiled "hopefully I won't have to save you Commander" she joked "of course not General it will be me saving you for once" she laughed as he prepared to jump we were about 10 meters above the water I wasn't afraid for water or heights but I was slightly nervous because I've never done a water mission before. "Prepare to jump in 3...2...1" as soon as Stag gave the order we all jumped down into the ocean where the war had already begun. We swam down close enough so we could see all the blasts being fired the qaurren have yellow blasts while the nautlon and Moncalmari have green.

Before we knew it we had joined in the fight and the separatists have dispatched Aqua droids luckily Ventress wasn't on the field as I didn't really want to see her again. Underwater didn't have much cover so you had to be good at dodging so you don't die. For the little cover there was we made the most of it and hid behind it. I was behind a rock with Shots and Martin firing at some aqua droids they were above us "fire" I said to Martin and Shots as we opened fire on the droids I took down 2 while the others got the other 5. We pushed forward taking out any Qaurren that got in our way. As we fought through I noticed a dead clone from our battalion I came closer to him his helmet was already off he had a short Mohawk and I realised that it was Rick. I closed his eyes and carried on with the fight I had finally gotten up to the front lines with the Jedi .

(Aayla's perspective)

"General Secura I appreciate the assistance" General Kcaj said me while I was deflecting blaster fire "Well me and the 327th were board on Coruscant so I thought we'd take this mission" I smirked at him. We managed to press forward and still no sign of Ventress as we pushed to the Qaurren's city it worried me but I had to focus at the battle at hand. I sliced through my 15th aqua droid and then realised that the Separatist forces were began to retreat "be careful it could be a trap" I shouted to the troops as we slowly pressed forward. We were on the edge of the city and then we began getting shot from behind "it's an ambush" I heard Coleman shout . As I began deflecting the blasts from behind i didn't realise that the Qaurren from the front had come back and one shot my helmet breaking the glass and water filled my helmet immediately. I couldn't breath I began going in and out of Consciousness until it all went black I accepted my fate.

(Bly's perspective)

Fired at the aqua droids behind taking 5 down shooting them all in the eye which deactivated them immediately I had bad memories of these guys from Abafar. When I turned back around I noticed that the Qaurren had come back and joined in on the fire fight it was a trap I dodged a blast from a Quarren spear and fired right back at them hitting him right in the chest. And hitting a second one that just came out from hiding in the head. But I paused for a second I couldn't see Aayla anywhere on the battle field "fall back" I heard General Kcaj shout but I need to know where Aayla is to make sure she is safe. I looked below me and saw Aayla she wasn't moving I noticed her helmet shad been blasted open I swam down after her not even thinking about my action "commander where are you going you are disobeying orders" I heard General Kcaj shout but I didn't care I needed to get Aayla out of here. I dodged all blaster fire that came my way as I swam down after her I couldn't let her die not now we've got through to much together.

She was almost at the ocean floor when I got her she was in my arms "Aayla" I said quietly but without waist it anymore time I took my oxygen pack of me and put it on her I took a deep breath as I did I took her helmet off so I could put it on her I was worried I was too late but I'm not going to give up not yet. I looked up and noticed that there was Qaurren and aqua droids above me firing down at me. But luckily I kept Aayla out of harms way even if it did mean I got hit in the right shoulder and left foot too help me get up quicker I used an aqua droid I kicked it over and pushed my self up. I was running out of oxygen and everything started going blurry but I had a little bit more fight left in me. I kept kicking as quick and as hard as I could I also got us far enough away from enemy lines so they couldn't fire at us anymore.

Finally I reached the surface and took my scuba helmet off and looked at Aayla. I checked shaked her to see if she would wake up but she didn't. She was still in my arms and I held her tight. I then noticed Monnk and General Kcaj surfaced nearby and swam over to me the General looked shocked that I was able to get her out of there. My shoulder was a little bit bloody but for the most part I was fine. "I told you to fall back but it seems you completed your mission nine the less" he said with a mix of shock and amazement "get Dug he's our head medic and call in a Gunship so we can take her back to the Star destroyer" I ordered but I was worried for Aayla which is why I sounded slightly aggressive. Dug surfaced and came over to Aayla and even though I had some resistance I handed Aayla over to Dug I don't know why I was so worried maybe I've gotten a little to close to Aayla.

Dug came back over with Aayla still unconscious in his arms and said "she still has a pulse but we need to get her back now" and General Kcaj spoke up "alright the gunship is on the way and I want Dug and Bly only to head back" he ordered I nodded and took Aayla back into my arms I felt a arm on my shoulder I turned and saw General Kcaj "I'm proud that you got her out of there she is lucky to have a friend like you" I smiled at him but looked straight back   I didn't want to let her go not again. Finally the gunship arrived and I put Aayla on first then me and Dug climbed up I looked down at Monnk and Kcaj as Kcaj said "keep her safe" I nodded as he submerged under the water. The gunship doors closed and we headed back to the Venator-class star destroyer.
