Chapter 25 failure at war

(Bly's perspective)
(Year 2 bjp) (2 years before Jedi purge)

Me and Secura we're leading an attack on Lothal finally hoping to catch Asajj Ventress once and for all but she is not alone she has a admiral with her called admiral Trench he is a new guy to the separatists but is very affective. We're not too sure where the admiral is but we know he is not in the air since we have set up a blockade so no separatists can get through. The initial landing was a success but we were now discussing a plan under a tent with a holotable to come up with a new plan. Head medic Dug rushed into the tent with his yellow helmet under his right arm. Me ,Captain Galle,arc trooper Flash and Aayla we're waiting on him but we can now begin.

"We know that admiral Trench isn't in the air so he is either in the 1 of 3 outposts the separatists have set up around Lothal or more likely he is in the capital" I announced opening up a map of map Western side of Lothal. "I'm sure Ventress is probably protecting him so if he is at the capital then he will have to deal with her" Galle said zooming in on the the capital. "Alright taking the outposts are easy we've done it a million times so send Miles and Martin in one team to the outpost to the north send Stinger and Shots in another group to the outpost to the west then send then Flash you will go with Dogwit to the one to the north west each one will be accompanied with a small platoon and Dug look after our wounded has everyone got it" they all stood to attention "sir yes sir" they all replied and Dug and Flash left the room. But Galle stayed I looked at him "lieute— I mean Captain is there something on your mind?" since Stag's death Galle got promoted to captain but I keep calling him Lieutenant by accident as that was his old rank a year later and I'm still doing it.

"What should I do as I'm doing nothing" he questioned. "Galle you worked so hard in the initial invasion that I'm giving you a break" for the first time in my life I think I saw a genuine smile come on to his face "wow great sir" I smirked "get out here now captain" he left the tent trying to get the stupid smile off his face but he couldn't. "I see your taking my job now Commander" Aayla asked with a cheeky smile "come on you don't really care that I'm doing your job for you" I asked as I stepped towards her "as long as you do a good job I don't care" she said looking at the map. I took another step forward "I'm just not to sure about sending all those privates on missions alone" she questioned as is stepped another step forward and taking her into my arms. "I think we've got some of the best soldiers in the entire republic but I might be biased even then it's an easy mission as we no Ventress isn't anywhere the outposts and the admiral is just good at reading maps" I reassured.

She looked up at me "I trust you" she said as I pulled her into a passionate kiss.

2 hours later

I sat on a rock looking at the sunset it was 7:49pm with Aayla. The out posts were small and I had confidence in my group and it was only a 1 hour's walk there. We heard back from Flash who has arrived back from completing his mission and Miles who's mission was successful but not from Stinger maybe there was more resistance to the north then I anticipated. I then heard running from behind us we turned around and saw Dug with a face of urgency "Sir we have an issue" his face was full of panic "what is it Dug" Aayla asked. "It's Stinger and shots platoon they were all killed half way to the outpost" I was confused when did Dig learn this "how do you know this Dug" I questioned he was heavily breathing now "because Stinger just contacted me" my eyes widened "alright get the AT-RT's ready tell Galle he's in charge and you and Flash are coming with me and the general" he saluted us "yes sir" he put on his helmet with yellow markings and rushed down the rock to the camp.

"What do you think happened?" Aayla questioned I shook my head in anger "I don't know but I want to find out" I put my helmet on and we both rushed down the rock and made our way to the AT-RT's Flash was already in one waiting and as we got in Dug arrived and we went on our way there. It was silent all the way there but I couldn't get the thought out of my head that I may have just got every single trooper killed on that mission.

We finally arrived half an hour later and I was shocked to find that the troopers were in pieces across the ground if not then they had many stab wounds I was the first to get out and then the rest followed. What I saw was horrible I led every single solider to there death without even knowing it while I was relaxing these troopers were being slaughtered the 2 AT-RT drivers that were there were also dead cut in half like the rest of them. As I walked along my fallen brothers I saw at the front has Shots but he was missing his head. "Ventress definitely did this I don't think they even saw it coming" Aayla said getting up from a kneeling position I swear I will make this assassin pay for watch she has done no private even stood a chance a corporal could have . "Sir" I heard someone spit out I looked down and saw a trooper laying on the grass his back against the leg of the AT-RT. He was missing his helmet to show his face it was covered in blood and he had a massive cut from the left shoulder to the right.

I leaned down next to the trooper "Stinger what happened" he was breathing heavily "none of us saw it coming the assassin decapitated Shots and then forced push us back she cut us all to pieces then killing the scout troopers in the AT-RT's I was the last one left I fired at her but since I'm a private I stood no chance she cornered be against AT-RT and cut my chest leaving me like this" at the end he began to stumble. Tears swelled in his eyes as everyone had now surrounded me and Stinger "if you were around Commander you could've saved us or even a corporal could've stood a fighting chance but no it was just us private's and we failed" his head dropped "Stinger" I said but no reply Dug pushed past me he had removed his helmet Aayla kneeled down and put a hand in my right shoulder. "He's dead" Dug announced. I all of a sudden became light headed I didn't know what was happening everything started spinning I fell over I heard Flash and Aayla call my name but everything went black.

My eyes opened up again it was so bright it was blinding but my eyes adjusted I could see clearly the I was heavily breathing I looked down I was shirtless showing off my 6 pack which every clone had but I had my black trousers on. I looked to the right of my bed I saw Aayla sleeping in a chair next to me just like I did 4 years ago when she was unconscious. Behind her I saw more beds all empty and a deactivated medical droid. I tried to remember what happened but it was all so blurry but I remember on Lothal Stinger he died he was attacked by a bounty hunter no......no Ventress attacked Stinger and killed the entire Platoon under.....under my......my orders I killed those men. I was violently shaking in the bed I couldn't control it. I was stuck reliving the moment when I killed all those men those men didn't have to die but they did because of me. "Bly" I heard some one shout "Bly" I recognise the voice it was Secura's she was calling me telling me to "wake up".

I was still shaking it was all black the room was black "Bly" I heard again my eyes were open. Aayla was holding my hand leaning next to the bed as I sat up right. "Aayla" I said in confusion "your awake" she said with joy I held her hand tighter "what happened why am I here where is—" she cut me off "Bly that was a week ago we lost the battle and Lothal has been taken by the separatists we were overwhelmed" I let go of her hand and fell back in the bed "because me?" I questioned she shook her head "no of course not listen you've been unconscious for a week and I've been right here by your side since you were for me". I felt so happy to have a woman like her beside me even when I'm unconscious "you had a PTSD attack" I looked at her confused then someone stepped in the room I turned to my left and Aayla looked as well he stood at the door. "Bly you have PTSD which was caused from you believing your got all those men killed" Dug announced I was still so confused "but I'm a clone built for war how can I get PTSD it's just not possible?" But Dug looked down at the ground "Commander I'm the medic and you have symptoms of PTSD it's not common among us clones but it can happen remember we're only human" he left the room. I looked back at she gave me a comforting smile "Aayla stay with me through this please" I begged her eyes were filled with sorrow "you didn't need to ask me I would've done so anyway".
