Its been six months now since Cris and I are together, six magical months, one unforgettable summer, one perfect birthday and now we are trying to choose a costume for the Halloween party on Friday.

“We need to do a couple’s costume, Joana, for sure. And it has to be the best of the night.”

We’re in my room, lying down on her bed, brainstorming ideas for costumes without actually deciding on anything, all my ideas have been shut down so far; apparently going as aliens or dinosaurs is not “cool enough”. So, we’re still debating ideas, and by debating I mean that Cris just writes down a huge list of ideas until she grows tired and takes out her phone and starts looking up couple costumes on Instagram.

“Well then, don’t just stare, open up your insta and help me look up something. Tomorrow is Monday and we’re running out of time.”

“Uh… Cris…”

Without actually looking up from her phone she nods indicating that she’s listening to me, its actually kinda adorable to see her acting as if she could actually pay attention to me while looking at her phone.

“Cris, honey, you know I don’t have Instagram.”

She frowns and looks at me, she looks confused for a moment as if she was about to tell me I was wrong, until her eyes double their size and she starts laughing.

“Oh, shit, that’s true. Sometimes I forget that old people and technology don’t get along very well.”

She winks at me and laughs.

“Although you should get yours back.”

“Well, I think that- Wait, what? Did you say I should get mine back?”

She takes a second to respond because she’s looking at a photo.

“Well, yeah, didn’t you tell me you had one but deleted it?”

“No… not that I recall.”

She looks at me while she moves her head up and down.

“I see. Well, I must’ve gotten confused. I think it was Eva who deleted hers that one time.”

She shrugs and continues to look at her phone, but she leaves me thinking if I ever did have an Instagram account. I mean, it is possible, I could very well have had one and just don’t remember it, I could have very well erased it and have no memory of that either. I will still mention it in my next session.

“Cris! That one is great!”

“You think so?”

“Yeah, totally. Its original, its visual, it’s great!”
