The party is maxed out, the music at full volume, everyone’s dancing and singing and drinking and just having a great time, our costume is a hit but Amira should win most original for her fortune teller one, Nora and Eva made us all crack up with their coordinated costumes, Hugo hasn’t been able to take his eyes off of cheerleader Viri and Alejandro has been circling around Nora all night long.

“Hey, how much time do y’all think Nora will keep pretending she doesn’t wanna be with Alejandro?”

Cris and Amira look at them and laugh while shrugging.

“That is the million-dollar question, you can see she likes him from a million miles away.”

“Well duh, but I think she’s trying to avoid it because of… Viri!”

All three of us turn around to where Viri is and we do it just in time to witness her making out with Hugo.

“Well, Viri is definitely getting some tonight.”

Eva comes running to where we are, and she looks just as shocked.

“Did you guys know about this!?”

We all shake our heads no, but we agree that we are really happy for them, it was time they found someone who share their feelings.

“Girls! Let’s take a photo! Like old times, huh? All of us together again.”

Christian appeared out of nowhere, followed by Alejandro, we all get together for the photo, then a boomerang for Instagram, then we all do some shots together and then break apart leaving me with Cris and Amira.

“Amy, I need another drink, come with.”

Cris grabs her by the hand and drags her to the bar with her, they’ve been doing that a lot actually, leaving together to get something only to return empty handed and Cris always returns a little anxious. I can’t say I’m not intrigued by what they talk about when they leave but I assume Cris will tell me tomorrow, so I don’t dwell on it a lot.

They’ve been gone for five minutes and I really need to go to the bathroom, so I approach Nora to ask her to tell Cris where I went if they come back before I do and Alejandro tells me to use his bathroom upstairs because the one on this floor probably had a long line, so I do, I walk upstairs and once I’m there I realize I have no idea where the bathroom is. I decide to go right and to the last door which leads me to a dark bedroom, after fumbling for a few seconds I find the light switch and realize this is not the bathroom and its probably Alejandro’s room; this I assume because of the motorcycle poster in the wall.

I have an internal debate about whether or not to go inside, I really do need to use the bathroom but I’m also too curious about this room and I decide to go in. As soon as I walk entirely inside I am hit by this wave of familiarity, the same I had the first time I went to Cris’ house and bedroom, like dejavu. I walk slowly and do my best to soak everything in but my head start to hurt and my ears start ringing, so I use the palm of my left hand and press it against my temple to put pressure on it while I use the right one to hold on to one of the furniture, through the corner of my eye I manage to see a mirror with what looks like some photographs and I muster what strength I can to walk over there to see them.
