A/N: Just want to remind you that I've missed you all.
Nervously chewing at your bottom lip as you waited for the elevator doors to reopen, you tried to pull yourself together before Jungkook could see how anxious you were about this.
Deciding on a light yellow summer dress to match with the resorts aesthetics, you straightened out any ruffles it had before finally exiting the metal box.
It didn't take long to spot the stud as he casually waited for your arrival, which was good since it gave you less time to overthink.
You gently tapped him on his shoulder, causing him to turn away from the sunset and towards you instead.
Was it wrong to think that for a moment his breath hitched?
Yes. Once again you're making things up to make yourself feel better about the situation.
Composing himself, Jungkook held out his arm for you to take which you did without blinking.
You needed to stop letting things get to you. You needed to stop feeling so shy around him. More importantly, you needed to be you again.
"So where do you wanna go for these pictures?" Jungkook queried.
You shrugged, "The beach? Couples always go there." You replied, trying to ignore how weird the sentence sounded out loud.
Obviously Jungkook wasn't as fazed as you were and immediately started guiding you towards the sand. Letting him without protest you absentmindedly walked on, as it was too mentally exhausting to think about the subtle little things he kept doing as you held onto him, such as slipping his arm around your waist to help you balance on the sand.
Feeling burning sensations at the curve of your back as his fingers kept gliding across your bare skin, you closed your eyes to try and control your emotions.
This was crazy. He was helping you! And here you are over complicating the situation. You were making things worse. Stop. Please just stop.
It was only then that you realised you both had stopped walking.
You opened your eyes only to find concerned eyes staring right back at you, "Are you okay? You've not talked much since we left the airport."
Pulling away from his grasp you nodded messily, "Yes! I'm great, how could I not be? This place is amazing."
Not fully convinced but obviously not wanting to push you, Jungkook nodded.
You clapped your hands, "Ok let's just get this over with so we can get back." You urged as you pocketed your phone out from your satchel.
Frowning, Jungkook hesitantly leaned down a little so he could get in the shot, "Okay then?" He whispered confused.
Smiling as wide as you can, you focussed on the camera ready to take the picture but you immediately froze when you felt a pair of lips gently kissing your cheek.
Your eyes widened like a deer in headlights.
"Y/N? What are you doing? Take the photo." Jungkook mumbled against your skin.
Pulling you out of whatever trance you were in, you quickly pressed the button and stepped back.
You could feel your face redden by the minute. Knowing this, you made a point to look literally anywhere but his gaze.
"Ok, well thanks. You can do whatever you like now I guess." You rushed, beginning to swirl away from him.
However, he quickly stopped you and twirled you back around, "Whoa, hang on there... Don't you want to check out the place a bit more? Maybe find a cheap but cool restaurant at the edge of the beach? I'm hungry." He suggested with an enticing grin.
