Fallin' All In Love

Chapter 5

Shawn's pov

I'm currently driving to a photoshoot studio in LA where I live in at the moment. I don't really live live here but I do at the same time. It's complicated. I'm from Canada I've lived there my whole life until I partially moved to LA to pursue my modeling career, but I still kinda live in Canada. I have an apartment in Toronto so I'm back and forth from LA to Toronto.

I've always loved the idea of modeling, I've always been in love with fashion and all that has to do with it. It's a very interesting career and I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to do this as a full time job.

I've ofcourse always loved singing maybe even more than modeling. I sing and I even write. I love writing so much ,it's a fine way of expressing how you feel. And it actually helps a lot. I did lots of writing when I broke up with Caily. It was a rough experience so writing was one of my coping mechanisms. It was probably the one that helped the most.

But you never know i might end up becoming a singer or a songwriter. I could possibly write for other artists, I don't know time will tell. I post covers here and there and sing a lot on my social medias though, something that I enjoy dearly.

I got there and went inside, the photographer wasn't there yet so I was just mentally preparing myself for another photoshoot. Not really a big deal as I've already gotten used to it by now. I'd consider myself a pro at this but then again the process is a little nerf-wracking, especially in the beginning when I had first started modeling.

It's way scarier when it's shirtless or even worse,photos in my underwear. I have done a few, well I've done a lot of those but it's always scary but I can handle it, It's all good. I seem to even enjoy it most of the time, it's fun,can't blame me.

I was talking to my manager when I spotted a short looking brunette, I found myself staring at her for a while. Something about her is seemingly drawing me to her. "Shawn hellooo..earth to Shawn...are you okay?" my manager Andrew asked me worried about me gazing off.

"Yeah who is she?" I asked him in hopes of him telling me who that pretty looking girl is.

"Who?" he asked not knowing who I was referring to.

"That girl standing over there talking with a dude."

"Oh! she's the photographer who's going to be taking your pictures today."

"Oh wow" I wasn't shocked, I was just not expecting her to be the one photographing me today. Honestly she might be the most beautiful photographer I've ever laid eyes on. No, she is, for sure, no doubt on that.

"What? are you shocked? i'm confused, she's just a normal, ordinary photographer, nothing new for you." I immediately took my gaze away from the girl and directed it to Andrew, I can't believe he just said that.

"What are you saying! you better take back your words, she isn't a regular photographer. She's different, I can feel it." I said looking back at her.

"Shawn do you even hear yourself, you haven't even met the girl yet and you're already talking about her as if she's the greatest."

"I just, something about her draws me in, I know I haven't even directed a word at her but I don't know, it's hard to explain, I can feel that she's amazing and not only in her job but as a human being." this is so weird, it's crazy that I'm even saying this right now, i'm not usually like this I swear but it's just something about this girl, I know nothing, absolutely nothing about her and I'm already swooning over her.

Andrew just sighed and said "I swear..it's so hard to get you sometimes, you better calm yourself down and be ready for this photoshoot, I hope you don't end up drooling over her mid session." I playfully rolled my eyes at him.

"That won't happen." I said keeping the "hopefully" part to myself. Then I heard her ask the guy she was speaking with who I guess is her manager maybe, who "today's model is" i'm surprised that she doesn't already know. I caught myself walking up to them and introducing myself to her right when her manager was about to.

"Shawn... Shawn Mendes." I said reaching my hand out to hers. But she seemed to gaze off for a moment there. For a while she was just standing there staring at me. She seemed kind of startled by my appearance and I don't why. Honestly that's kind of the same reaction I had seeing her for the first time, which is pretty weird.

"Are you okay?" I asked her concerned by her dozing off.

"Yes i'm sorry...i'm...uh..Camila Cabello." She finally said shaking my hands.

"That's a very beautiful name." It's true her name is so beautiful and unique, it definitely fits her.

"Thank you so much." she said smiling back at me "I feel like I've seen you before, you look so familiar." I was surprised, I don't think I've seen her prior to now but I just think that she has something very special to her that's intriguing me, making me more curious about her.

"Ahaha probably somewhere in the media...Instagram?" she's probably seen somewhere around the internet, I am a model after all.

"Yeah probably." she said and then we were just sort of looking at the each other, getting lost in each other's gaze.

"Okay well..are you ready to start?" she spoke up after a while of us being quiet.

"Yeah let's do it." oh lord..this is gonna be an interesting experience, I honestly do hope I do not end up drooling over her like Andrew said.
