Justin got home relatively fast and went to his brother's room. He knocked on the door and Nicholas opened it. Nicholas' eyes brightened at seeing his brother.
"Any news??"
Justin frowned and shook his head. Nicholas slumped in defeat. Justin sighed and the two sat on Nicholas' bed. Justin looked at him,
"She lied about being okay,"
Nicholas looked at him in shock,
"How can you tell?"
"Her eyes, she barely made eye contact with me when she said she was okay."
Nicholas frowned.
"What do you think is wrong?"
"What do you think is wrong Nick? You have known her the longest,"
Nicholas smiled sadly,
"She lied when she told me that her mother needed her to come home around a month ago. She hasn't been acting the same and has barely been coming over. And now she just gave her key to the house to Kenzee. Something is not right Justin,"
Justin frowned and nodded.
"She has been spending more time with Jake, have you reached out to Ash?"
Nicholas nodded.
"Ash has talked to Michela, I know it...she just didn't tell me...which is why I think something bad happened,"
Justin's eyes widened.
"Your girlfriend didn't tell you something was wrong with your best friend?"
Nicholas smiled.
"I understand why though...Ash and Mickey are close too, which is what I'm grateful for. Mickey needs a girl to talk to because she mostly has guys around her you know? Plus, I don't have to worry about catfights with my girlfriend and best friend. Speaking of which, how are you and Kenzee?"
Justin frowned.
"I have no idea, she's so clingy sometimes,"
Nicholas winced and nodded.
"Yeah, that's true...I'm going to see if I can invite Ash over and get Ash to invite Mickey. You should invite Kenzee if they can come."
Justin smiled at the idea.
"Sure, sounds good."
