Trying to make it work but man these times are hard
But we're gonna start by drinking old cheap bottles of wine
Sit talking up all night
Saying things we haven't for a while, a while yeah
We're smiling but we're close to tears
Even after all these years
We just now got the feeling that we're meeting
For the first time
Justin was nervous, to say the least, he was not ready for this talk. He would look over next to him and see Michela smiling and he would smile too. Justin decided he really did need this talk.
"How are you feeling?"
Michela shrugged.
"I feel better, it just feels like a muscle strain or something. It's just very sore."
"I'm glad to hear that,"
Michela smiled. Then she thought about how Kenzee and Justin ended.
"I'm sorry about how things ended with Kenzee,"
Justin looked at her in shock.
"What? No, don't worry about that! It probably wasn't going to last anyway,"
Michela shrugged.
"Did you really like her?"
Michela tried to battle down the feeling she had when she asked that question. Justin frowned.
"To be honest, not that much. I see how Nicholas and Ashley look at each other, I didn't even feel anything close to that with Kenzee."
Michela smiled.
"Well, you will find someone like that soon,"
Justin looked at Michela, noticing how her eyes lit up and changed into a warmer shade of brown in the sun, how her hair shone under the sun and her blonde streaks were more obvious against her dark brown hair.
"Yeah, I think so,"
Michela looked at him and smiled, ignoring the weird feeling that she got used to.
"That's the spirit!"
Justin chuckled at her chipper mood.
"So...why didn't you tell anyone?"
Michela looked down momentarily, she knew that this question would be asked at some point.
"I didn't want to get in the way of your relationship with Kenzee, I thought you liked her a lot and I didn't want to be that person that ruins it just because she was being territorial over you. It didn't seem right."
Justin looked at Michela once again and felt this weird feeling, almost like butterflies I guess, and he loved it. He smiled softly at her and his muscles were relaxed from the tensity he was feeling earlier before this talk.
"Michela, *They stopped walking, Justin put both of his hands on her shoulders* no matter what, NEVER worry about ruining a relationship if that relationship is causing you any harm, ESPECIALLY physical harm. When you called Nicholas yesterday, you should have seen his face. I didn't find out what happened until you showed up with Ash, Jake, and Bryce. I have never EVER seen Nicholas so afraid, hell, I was crazy worried because he wasn't telling me anything."
Michela's expression softened. She touched Justin's hands on her shoulder, both feeling unbelievably warm.
"Thank you, Justin...I appreciate it,"
They stood there, staring into each other's eyes, before they looked at the time and realized that they had ten more minutes to get to the club.
"SHIT!"
The two booked it. They raced down the streets, narrowly missing bumping into people, and raced through the back and finally made it into the rose garden. Both panting. Michela looked up.
"Present!"
Everyone looked amused by her antics. Okan looked at his watch.
"Just in time too! Great job,"
Michela and Justin nodded. Michela winced as she breathed in, it did hurt to breathe because of her stomach. Justin looked at Okan.
"We spent too long eating pancakes,"
Michela's eyes brightened at the mention of pancakes.
"Oo! I forgot! Nickey gave me pancakes to bring with me!"
Everyone looked at her at the mention of pancakes. Michela grabbed Justin's bag, much to his protest, and opened it up, and took out a container with the remainder of the pancakes. Justin's eyes widened.
"How did that get in my bag?"
Michela smirked.
"Nickey told me he put them in."
Everyone laughed. Some thought it was odd that Michela and Justin were with each other at his place, but some knew that Michela was close with his older brother. After everyone had a pancake, the day started.
