Nicholas turned to Jake and crossed his arms. Jake scratched the back of his head because he has never felt more nervous other than around Bryce. He felt like he was about to be scorned by an angry parent. Nicholas sat down and so did Jake. Nicholas sighed and relaxed a bit and so did Jake.
"Why do you like Mickey?"
Jake smiled, he will answer these honestly because he does love Michela, just platonically.
"She is amazing. She can lift everyone up just by her smile. She can make the saddest person smile if she were to just be herself around them. I love her personality and her smile. Even if she was scared when coming back here, she was able to look at the bright side. I don't know anyone who could do that. I don't have a lot of people in my life, I traveled a lot and was never close to anyone, Michela was the first person that I ever even considered being friends with. She is perfect in her own way."
Nicholas was amazed at that response, he knew then and there that Jake would take care of his best friend. However, now is his speech that he has been waiting to give.
"Michela Anna Kastle is my best friend Jake. Sure, I did not even know her last name fully until my brother told me. Mickey saved my life. She helped me save Ash's and I's relationship when I was a teenager and made her mad. Ash is the love of my life and I have no idea what I would do if I didn't fix our relationship back then. I have known Mickey for over 11 years. She is my other half friend wise. No matter what, she has always had my back and told me that she will be Ash's maid of honor at our wedding and has called dibs on being a godmother when we have kids. Brandon and Jesse love her as a big sister and she is my little sister and best friend. I can not lose her, it will break my heart if she was hurting. Something has been off with her lately and I know that, but you also know that. I just want you to know that if you cause Mickey ANY pain whatsoever, I will not HESITATE to break you. She is my best friend, Jesse's best friend, Brandy's best friend, Ashley's best friend, and the future maid of honor at my wedding. She is part of my family and will always be part of my family. If you even have a single THOUGHT of hurting her, you will be doomed and I will not hesitate to beat you up. Got it?"
Jake was in awe at Nicholas' speech and immediately nodded.
"Yeah, of course, I will never hurt Ella,"
Nicholas nodded.
"Good...I'm pretty sure Jesse and Brandon may like you so it would be a shame, also Ashley definitely likes you."
Jake laughed and nodded. They did a simple bro handshake and got up.
