Homework Should Be Illegal

Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shootin' stars
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now

          Michela was home alone. Massimo was on a sleep-away trip for school for the next three days and her mom was on a business trip. Right now, she was working on an essay for History class. She was writing about the differences between the 90s and 2000s. That was when the horror struck her heart when her computer turned off.

"No no no no no no no no!"

Michela instinctively ran into her brother's room and cursed when she remembered that he wouldn't be home for another two days. Michela ran a hand through her hair and got her phone out,

"Who do I call??"

Michela shrugged and thought about her boyfriend, he was older so he should know what to do in theory. She pulled up the contact: Justin <3 (Bold is Justin)

"Hey, Michela, what's up?"

"JUSTIN!!! My computer is glitching and I don't know what to do! My essay is due in an HOUR! I didn't even get to finish the last paragraph! If I don't do this essay, I'm gonna fail the class, then my spot at StonyBrook will be looked over again and I'll get rejected and if I get re-"

"Michela! Calm down...I'll be there soon okay? And we will figure it out together,"

Michela smiled,

"Thanks, Justin, hurrrryyy,"

Justin chuckled,

"I will...see you soon,"

"Thank youuuuu! See ya soon!"

Michela breathed out a sigh of relief, everything will be just fine. She waited in the living room until she heard someone at the door, She opened it and smiled hugely at seeing Justin in a white shirt and jeans,

"Thanks for coming!"

Justin smiled,

"Anytime, so where is this computer?"

Michela nodded and led him to her room,

"I have no idea what I did wrong Justin,"

Justin smiled gently and put an arm on her shoulder,

"Just relax, I'll fix it,"

Michela smiled and nodded. He grabbed the computer and started fiddling around with it. Justin smirked in achievement when it turned on,

"And it's on!"

Michela jumped on him in a hug and smiled,

"OH MY GOD THANK YOU!"

Justin chuckled and he sat down on her bed as she quickly finished writing the essay. Michela turned to him,

"So...Mr. College guy, wanna read my essay?"

Justin sighed dramatically and flopped backward,

"I came to help you, not for you to torture me!"

Michela laughed and sat down next to him and smirked,

"We can do something after I submit iiitt,"

Justin turned his head to her,

"Like what?"

Michela smirked,

"Movie night!"

Justin sighed and rolled his eyes,

"You are so lucky that I love movies,"

Michela chuckled and handed her computer to Justin for him to read her essay. Justin read it relatively fast and nodded,

"This is good, you just retaught me the differences between the 90s and 2000s,"

Michela smirked and nodded,

"Thanks,"

She hit submit and smiled as she laid back next to Justin. Justin turned his head next to him to look at Michela,

"Soooo...what movie?"

Michela smiled and got up,

"Let us do a movie marathon!"

Justin smiled as he stood up too,

"I'm down with that, let's do it! Do you have popcorn?"

Michela gasped dramatically,

"What kind of peasant does not have ze popcorn for a movie marathon?!"

Justin chuckled at her antics as she showed him the microwavable popcorn. While Michela started looking for a movie, Justin started getting the popcorn ready. Michela turned to him,

"Transformers marathon?"

Justin looked up and turned to her,

"Yeah, sounds perfect,"

Michela smiled brightly and put on the first movie and paused it so Justin could finish getting the popcorn. They sat down next to each other and Justin put the popcorn in his lap while he wrapped an arm around Michela and she snuggled into his side, feeling at peace and safe. They laughed and Justin chuckled whenever Michela would rant about how stupid Sam is and how he is a coward. Michela bit her lip and frowned when she noticed that they finished the popcorn. Justin chuckled and put the bowl down and saw that she was slightly cold,

"Where are the extra blankets and pillows?"

Michela smiled brightly and ran to get a pillow and a large blanket, she threw the pillow at Justin and he caught and smiled. He put the pillow behind him and left a spot for Michela. They wrapped the blanket around themselves and Justin wrapped an arm around her and she smiled into the embrace as they put in the last movie. The two slowly started falling asleep and by the end credits, Michela had her head nestled on his chest as his arms were wrapped protectively around her with his chin resting on her head softly.
