Goodbyes hurt

Chapter 14

Taehyung was walking,he had been for the last few minutes.Cold creeping up his legs and hands turning them numb.The one next to him was silent.The walk was only around 20 minutes but now that the rain was pouring again,it was taking longer.Taehyung wasn't sure whether he liked it or not.He let the fate deal with it,his eyes lingered at times to his side.
"What are you looking at?",Jimin finally asked and Taehyung's heart almost dropped.

"I..I was..sorry",He stuttered over his words.

There was silence again,Jimin tightly held onto the handle of the umbrella as the wind got stronger.Taehyung hugged himself tightly and Jimin opened his mouth to say something but decided against it.Jimin,at this point,could hear the light chattering of Taehyung's teeth.Jimin sighed,"You should have worn another layer.You know you can't handle cold"
"I didn't think it'd be raining this much",Taehyung bit his lips,he was shaking head to foot.The chill slowly crawling into his bones.Jimin sighed again irritatedly,"Hold this"

Taehyung held the umbrella as Jimin shook his jacket off his shoulder and took it off.He hung it over Taehyung's shoulder and took the umbrella again.Taehyung was shocked.
"I can't carry you to dorm if you faint",Jimin justified his actions and Taehyung's lips went thin.He didn't say anything but silently walked along.This almost fell natural,almost okay and even Taehyung's heavy heart was lifting.

By the time they reached their dorm,the rest of the journey being silent,Someone was already waiting for them at the door.
"Hyung!!",Jungkook exclaimed from the floor as soon as he saw Jimin.
"You didn't go to your room?",Jimin exclaimed as he helped Jungkook up.Jungkook scratched his head embarassedly,"I ...I felt uneasy leaving you.Hyung,My roommate is out..You can stay with me tonight"
That was out of the blue,for both Taehyung and Jimin.Jimin bit his lips and looked behind at Taehyung.
"Please don't say no",Jungkook pouted,lightly pulling at Jimin's shirt forward.Jimin's eyes met Taehyung's for a split second and without further ado,he nodded at Jungkook.Jimin was tired and all he wanted was to fall flat onto a bed but he also wanted some peace and that wasn't guaranteed here .He was about to turn around,when Taehyung called,"Jimin".

Both Jimin and Jungkook stared at Taehyung as he walked over to them.Taehyung took off the jacket and extended it to Jimin.Jimin didn't move at all.

"Goodnight,Hyung",Jungkook said as he took the jacket and pulled Jimin along with him when he departed.The corridor was left with a lonely Taehyung trying to imagine how it felt to hold Jimin like Jungkook did.

"WHAT!!NO WAY",Taehyung slowly backed off as Seojoon and Hyunshik tried to persuade him.He shook his head continously not even giving them a chance to speak.He held his hands up to stop them from coming closer to him,"I didn't audition for a reason,I dont wanna be a part of it.Backstage crew is my forte"

"Look,You're chiseled like a Greek hod.Plus Jin told me you are really good and the role is too strong",Seojoon said as he nudged at Hyunshik and Hyunshik nodded like a rubber ball on bounce.

"If it's too strong,Shouldn't it be better if you found a better actor ?",Taehyung was confused at how adamant these hyungs were.

"But it's too minimal to actually hold an audition and besides we can't even handle the delay.Hoseok even agreed to lend us a modern dancer to help us starting today.I don't wanna lose face now",Seojoon rubbed his hands together,pleading and knelt infront of Taehyung.Hyunshik followed suit.Taehyung bit his lips and stepped back in alarm,now the whole room had their gaze set on them.Taehyung sighed and swung his bag back to his shoulders before he pulled the duo up.He closed his eyes and nodded lightly.The two jumped in joy,engulfing Taehyung in the process.He made a mental note to push Jin off a cliff next time they went hiking.

And thus he waited with Hyunshik ,after the drama team had left,for the dance club to arrive to meet his dance partner.

Soon one by one they came in as Hyunshik chatted away with someone on the phone.Taehyung prayed with all his might that this person who volunteered to help them be not Jimin.Jimin was from modern dance major,he knows that well but he held his hope up and prayed with honesty.He made sure to turn around as Jimin walked in.Jimin didn't even see Taehyung as he right away started stretching, until Hyunshik loudly called out,"Hoseok-ah!!"

Taehyung did his best to hide himself behind Hyunshik but when he left to greet Hoseok,Taehyung was left in Jimin's clear vision of field to see.Taehyung gulped in all the air in his mouth and pressed his lips together.He tried to concentrate on what Hyunshik and Hoseok were saying but he could clearly sense Jimin's confused eyes on him.

"No worries,Hyung",Hoseok smiled as he looked behind at Jimin.Taehyung knew at once he was going to call over their helper.

"Not Jimin,Not Jimin,Not Jimin",Taehyung chanted repeatedly in his head.
"Yuna,over here",Hoseok called over the girl near Jimin.Taehyung's mouth fell open.Although his prayers were heard and well answered,he didn't feel grateful.He even felt a tinge of pain.Was he secretly wishing it was Jimin?Taehyung was snapped out of his thoughts when the girl infront of him smiled radiantly at him as he greeted.

"I'm Ahn Yuna from 2nd year DAC  ",She said,her smile even brighter.
"Kim Taehyung from 3 rd year liberal arts",Taehyung shook her hands.
" I'll let you two get acquainted today.I already told you the nature of the scenes are a bit intimate,border line
seducing.So I need you to be comfortable with each other.We will start it fresh tomorrow",Hyunshik patted Taehyung and soon was gone.

Someone pulled a screen to the middle of the room so as to not disturb each other.Taehyung was sat at the other end of the room,Yuna right by his side.Yuna had been talking for the past hour over the continous yelling of Hoseok and the music going on and off and repeating.Yuna saw Taehyung's attention was drifting and she tapped him lightly.
"Am sorry,I just-",Taehyung straightened up.
"It's alright,Is it okay to tell me what the story is about? Or is it some kind of secret?"
"What story?"
"The story of the play you guys are-"
"oh,ah..that one!"
"Yeah,Like I know the part we need to do but how does it go with the script?",Yuna's big eyes overflowed with curiosity and Taehyung couldn't help but smile.He took a deep breath as he started.
