Chapter 24

Taehyung threw open Jin's door and it slammed against the wall,startling Yoongi and Jin.Jin was going to say something but then Taehyung got there first,"Noone say a word".It'd be a miracle if Jin held his mouth just for that comment.He said,"Are you three a thing? How many dates it had been now ?"
Taehyung send a death stare at Jin and if that could kill,Jin would be bleeding on the floor. Taehyung fell onto the couch,face down.

"It's the third date this week",Yoongi announced counting off his fingers and Taehyung groaned.
"Why can't you say 'No'?",Jin shrugged like it was the obvious solution.
"Since when has he ever said no to Jimin?",Yoongi was equally annoying.Finally Taehyung had it and wanted to rant,he knelt on the couch facing the duo and threw his hands in the air in frustration,"Why do they go on so many dates ? And why am I included in every plans? Why the hell do they ask me? It's not like am a loner,I have friends"

"Do they usually go on these many dates before you joined?",Yoongi was honestly curious and Taehyung bit his lips and shook his head.
Yoongi exchanged a glance with Jin and Jin shook his head.Taehyung didn't understand and tilted his head in confusion.
"Maybe Jimin wants to spend time with you and these dates are just an excuse..Maybe?",Yoongi explained and Taehyung flinched.

No, that's not true.That can't be true.
Or can it be?

Taehyung returned to his prior position and let out another groan.It's so difficult to fake a smile and go on with this shit show anymore.He heard Jin mumble,"Next time say no,Tae" and Taehyung honestly wanted to say it too but a part of him was selfish,selfish enough to hurt himself.

The practice was over for the day and Jimin and Taehyung were heading back to their dormitory.Jimin was randomly talking about things and Taehyung was trying to concentrate since his head was dizzy and all he wanted was to be on bed right now.But then Jimin turned around at him and asked,"Jungkook always tells me that you helped him and is so grateful,How did you ?",Jimin looked up at Taehyung and Taehyung could totally kiss him at this angle.Something about Jimin's head tilted side-ways urged Taehyung.He caught himself before something like that happened and directed his eyes onto the ground,"It's..nothing big"
"Seems like very important to him though!"

"Shouldn't you ask him instead?",Taehyung shot and Jimin huffed before imitating Jungkook,"Your best friend doesn't even tell you things?" and it looked nothing like Jungkook yet Taehyung smiled,"It's a shame your boyfriend doesn't tells you things",Taehyung retorted.

Jimin awarded Taehyung's hand a light slap and pouted,"Brat..Tell me"
"You won't be happy",Taehyung declared.
"He said he is fine with you telling me so spill",Jimin was adamant and folded his hands demandingly.
Taehyung sighed,"We met in a summer camp,like a summer meet actually"
"Uh huh?", Jimin urged.
"Well..He was my roommate,this totally introvert kid and I felt like he was going through something.He wasn't participating in any activities and one day I just asked",Taehyung kicked stones off the gravel road down the dormitory.

"He didn't open up at first and then I insisted"
"Obviously,the saviour"

Taehyung wanted to say so many things as a reply to that but he continued,"He told me he was gay and was having a hard time coming out to his parents and he already had a boyfriend then.The guy felt like Jungkook didn't care enough to come out and I don't know.. something like that"
Jimin didn't comment anything in between this time and just listened.
"He was in so much pain cause the guy wanted to break up and he loved him so much and I guess,I gave him the courage.He,then,asked me to come to his home and stay by his side when he talked to his parents.So after the camp ended,I went to his home and helped him out.His parents weren't very accepting at the time and I spoke with them and stuff"

"Tae!! You said it's nothing big but you went all the way from Daegu to Busan for a guy you met in a summer camp.Are you kidding me?!",Jimin exclaimed and Taehyung didn't know how to react.Then again Jimin knew Taehyung was exactly that kind of person.

"I told you he was in so much pain about realising his whole identity and struggling and I felt like he is my younger brother.And also he did help me heal too so that's the least I could do"
"Heal about what?"
Taehyung shrugged as he pressed the floor number on the elevator keypad after getting in.Jimin followed,"Tell me ,Tae"
Taehyung wasn't going to reply and before he opened his mouth,he smiled,"Shouldn't you be concerned about the guy your boyfriend was dating then but instead you are asking about me?"
Jimin sighed and said nothing.
"They broke up before Jungkook came out",Taehyung supplied and Jimin nodded as an acknowledgement.

Jimin had suspiciously fell silent since then and even as they got into bed,Jimin held his silence.Taehyung couldn't help but ask the question lingering at the tip of his tongue,he wanted to know,"Are you in love with him?"

There was an eerie silence and Taehyung almost assumed Jimin had fell asleep but then a reply came,"I guess I am.He is a sweet guy,makes me feel like I could find happiness.Why do you ask?"
"Nothing",But Taehyung's tongue was breaking his own rules as he asked,"Jimin,That day why did you ask me if I was hurt seeing Jungkook with you ?"

"You were always possessive,Tae,when someone becomes too close to me.I wanted to know if you are still the same"

"I am,I always am"

Jimin chuckled as if he was amused by the answer and said,"Yet you never considered me when I confessed all those years ago.You friend-zoned me, remember?"

Taehyung stared at the ceiling and said nothing,he clearly remembered that day,that rain on pavement,shoes on puddles and how his tears went with it.A memory that wasn't his favourite to dwell in,yet the one that changed his life.
