We were all huddled together inside one of the teepees, waiting for the night to come for the concert to start. Heaven's not with us because he has a date. Tanging siya lang ang nahuli ng student organizers. They failed to capture Lelouch. Kahit sino naman ata matatakot kung siya na ang kaharap.
The other girls were also paired up with someone. But we decided to kill some time together before the concert starts. I know deep inside that we missed each other. Hiwa-hiwalay na at hindi magkakaklase, sometimes it was hard for us to even find time to hang out. So, we always make sure to get the most out of it once we are together.
Taki brought her acoustic guitar and she's strumming her chords. Nakasandal siya sa likod ni Ravi. Magui placed a pillow on Ravi's lap and laid her head there. Lelouch's eyes were closed while Sloane is softly caressing his hair. And your arms were around me as I lean my head on your shoulders.
I love moments like that. We were not even talking but it was so peaceful. I just know that my heart was happy when we're all together. I smiled to myself thinking of the friendship I've found through you.
For the friendship we built.
And for the friendship that we will always keep.
"Guys! Good thing, I've found you!" Hinihingal na salubong sa atin ni Heaven. We all looked up to him.
"Narape ka ba?" Agad mong tanong.
He looked worn out. Pawis na pawis at medyo lukot ang damit. Panic was also written all over his face. Marami sigurong tinakbuhan.
"Fuck! Kasalanan niyong dalawa ito eh!" Tinuro turo niya kayo ni Lelouch.
"What did we do now?"
"I've got five student organizers tailing me around just because they couldn't have the both of you!"
"That's not my problem anymore." Ani Lelouch at pumikit uli.
"Are you hiding from them?" I asked. Medyo naaawa kay Heaven. And you seemed to enjoy his misery.
"No, not really. I'm just here to ask if you have barya." Pinakita niya sa atin ang dala niyang blue bills. "Nagpapabili yung girl ng streetfood sa akin! Then, walang panukli."
Taki rolled her eyes and looked really annoyed for a second.
"I don't have barya, bro." Ravi mimicked the way Heaven uttered it. "So, get lost you conyo piece of shit."
"Then, shut the fuck up Javier. Ikaw, Sky?"
"Why don't you just let them keep the change?"
"Gago ka ba? Lugi ako 'don!"
"Then fucking dump your date. Bakit ba siya nagpapabili sayo?" Taki snapped. "Stop being a goody two shoes. Sky and Lelouch got away from that stupid game."
"Says the who found herself a date from that stupid game."
"Okay, stop it, both of you. Sorry, Ven baka sa other food trucks may panukli." Sloane interjected.
Heaven was exasperated with you guys. Hindi kayo matinong kausap ni Ravi. May isang walang pakialam. May isang nang-aaway.
"Wait, Heaven!" You called out to him. There's a glint of mischief in your eyes.
"What?!"
"Sorry, we don't have barya." You chuckled. "Kung mayroon lang pinag-aral pa kita." And you and Ravi shared a high five.
Nice of you, Sky. Very mature.
Heaven raised both of his middle finger before leaving us. Hindi ko rin naman napigilang tumawa. But that was not nice, Sky! Lagi niyong binubully si Heaven.
We all went on our separate ways when the concert started. Sobrang ganda ng field nang binuksan na yung mga light installations. Pati yung malaking ferris wheel ang ganda ng mga ilaw.
Maraming bands na nagperform. Playing hits by Paramore, My Chemical Romance, The 1975, Kodaline, 5 Seconds of Summer, Coldplay, The Script, Panic at the Disco and many more. Well-known OPM indie bands also performed.
Calin's band All Is One was there. He was the bassist and also the vocalist. That was the first time I watch him play. Sobrang ganda at lamig ng boses niya. And his long hair looked really glorious whenever he raked it while singing.
Kaya ang daming nahuhulog sa kanya. No wonder, he's the most popular Cervantes.
Pumapalakpak lang ako habang nanonood while you, a fully energized fluff ball was jumping around with the crowd.
"Come on! Live a little!" Inakbayan mo ako kaya pati ako nadadala sa pagtalon mo. Something Just Like This was playing.
"Doo-doo-doo,doo-doo-doo. Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo. Oh, I want something just like this. I want something just like this." You weren't singing the lyrics. You were shouting it at the top of your lungs. And when the beat dropped, feel na feel mo ang paghead bang.
And I enjoyed watching you do all of that. Mas entertaining ka pa kaysa sa mga nagpeperform sa stage. So, I took a video of you, remember? Nagpapacute ka pa nga sa camera tapos feel na feel ang paglip sync ng kanta.
After some really turned up music, sunod sunod naman ang ibang laid back, feel good songs.
"Enjoying yourself so much, rockstar?" I playfully pinched your nose.
Hinuli mo ang kamay ko at dinala ito sa mga labi mo para mahalikan. "I'll behave now."
