We became busy with our studies the rest of the school year. Sometimes, I wasn't able to hang out with you guys because I am needed in the SCB office.
We conducted various program throughout the school year. You even attended a leadership training seminar which we facilitated. We also wanted to showcase everyone's talent, kaya we also had art contests and cultural shows for the students. Tumulong rin kami sa mga outreach programs. Kami rin halos ang laging mukha ng mga assemblies.
On the other hand, you also enjoyed your own hustle. You started studying smart again. Madalas ka pa ngang tumatambay sa bahay namin para sabay tayong magstudy. Lagi mong dala si Cloud. Minsan nakikita pa kitang nagzozone out habang nakatitig lang sa kanya. Madalas ka ngang magsend ng pictures ni Cloud. Siya rin madalas ang laman ng IG story mo. Marami na rin siyang fans. One time, you put him at the top of your head and he peed on you.

During exam weeks naman, you would always bother me so I could lend you my notes. You like my notes because of my neat handwriting. The important keypoints are highlighted and I really wanted it to be always pretty so I used my calligraphy skills.
It was so easy for you to be back at the honor roll. You ranked third over all. Si Lelouch naman ang second. I ranked first. But we're all with highest honors, though.
And at the end of the school year, the annual Year End Ball for the 10th grade students is coming. Everyone is obsessing about it. Lalo pa at natupad ang hiling na medieval theme.
Magui can't stop talking about it. She loves period dramas. She's blabbering about dressing up like one of the wives of King Henry VIII. I joked about whether she would also like to be beheaded and she just rolled her eyes at me.
Everyone is also starting to look for a partner. Magui got several invites but she turned everyone down, as far as I know. Sabi niya gusto niya mag-isa.
To be honest, I felt a little down when not a single person asked me for the ball. But then, I know in my heart that I will only go with my person.
And it's you.
Every section needs to have a dance performance in the ball. Sobrang hands on ni Magui sa choice of song and even to the dance steps. Siya rin ang pumili ng partner ko for the dance. It's one of my boy classmate who looks nerdy.
Okay, Magui.
When I told Mom about the ball, she was so excited. She immediately hired her designer friend for my gown. I am very specific with what I want.
Period clothes can be very stuffy and uncomfortable. I wanted to wear a gown with ease. Something that's flowy but also aligned with the medieval theme. I want a modern twist to it. And I know many would go for rich colours and velvets.
So, I chose to wear black.
When they showed me the sketch, I instantly fell in love with the dress. It's something like a vampire princess would wear in the middle ages.
The only time that we talked about the ball together was when you asked me the color of my dress. You looked so amused with my choice but didn't really ask much further.
We'll have our final exams first before the ball. You told me you'll come over so we could study together. Isinama mo rin si Cloud. Parang package nga kayo eh.
We always work separately unless we're asking questions to each other. You're listening to some music while reading. Ako naman, I write the things that are needed to be memorized. I prefer it that way, so it would retain more in my head.
Cloud is sleeping and very still in his spot at the table. Mukhang nabored siya sa pag-aaral natin.
Nag-angat ako ng tingin sayo nang inalis mo na yung air pods mo. I thought you're already done with your readings.
"D-Do you..." You can't even looked at me in the eyes. I pouted to hide my grin.
I asked you if you're already done reviewing. Lalo lang namula ang face and ears mo.
I heard you mutter curses before handing me your phone. I stared at it like it will grow two heads. What would I do with that?
"Let's play music while reviewing."
"I don't like." Kontra ko. If I'd ever play music while studying, it would involve just classic instrumentals.
You played with your lower lip. Umiling iling ka pa na parang dehado ka. Kanina naman ay ayos kang nakikinig mag-isa tapos ngayon kailangan pati ako?
"Please, it'll be good. Check my playlist." Pamimilit mo pa at lalong lumapit sa tabi ko.
So, I put down my pen and checked your phone. I couldn't help but smile when I was greeted by my face because I'm your wallpaper.
You intently looked at me like you're anticipating something. Natatakot ka atang ijudge ko ang taste mo sa music. Why do you look so nervous?
I got to your spotify playlist and opened it...
