Siena watched the screen. Looking horrified at the events before her eyes. The television flashed with images of police shooting rubber bullets and spraying tear gas, protestors tossing hikes through store windows, and police vehicles on fire.

Her mother wrapped her arm around her. "It's chaos." She agreed. "But look." She pointed to the screen where it showed police officers kneeling with some peaceful protestors together.

"The world needs to stop seeing things with their eyes and look into people's hearts." Her mother said.

Siena shook her head. "That's how humanity is. It naturally searched for something that they deem different and try to 'fix it' in their own messed up way."

"Humanity is flawed." Her mother agreed.

"I mean, we only have a different skin tone because of evolution." Siena continued.

Her mother looked down at her. A small smile of pride. "You're right Siena. We are all different but we are all the same."

Fire. Shatter. Shot.
The chaos the world has brought.

I kneel on one knee,
For equality,
So the world will be free,
Of those who treat others unfairly.

Red, blue, yellow, green,
They're all beautiful colours we've seen.

Black, white, brown, pink,
They're not as different as you think.

It doesn't matter where you're from.
These colours are the history of the songs we've sung.
Why do you have to judge by what you see.
Because all I see is you and me.

Fire. Shatter. Shot.
The chaos the world has brought.

I kneel on one knee,
For equality,
So the world will be free,
Of those who treat other unfairly.

Spin the globe round and round.
Look at all the places people are found.
China, Asia, America too.
They do the same things that we do.

Hope, family, religion, and love.
Let's let go of our resentment
And let go of the dove.

Fire. Shatter. Shot.
The chaos the world has brought.

I kneel on one knee,
For equality,
So the world will be free,
Of those who treat other unfairly.

I kneel on one knee.
I kneel on one knee.

Won't you kneel with me?

A/N*******

I wanted to do something small for these events that are happening. I have been lucky enough not to be a victim of any racist a comments or acts towards me but others are not so lucky.

This is a terrible thing that is going on and I hope that this will be a lesson to the world that everyone should be treated fairly with kindness and respect.
