Bracca Hyperspace Route: 14 BBY
"Oppressor"
JessJess slipped through the halls silently, making his way back to the barracks. The door opened with a soft hiss. He crept in softly and made his way back to his bunk. The armory door opened and Amos nodded. Jess nodded back and the door closed again.
He pulled himself up to his bunk and grabbed his bloody arm cuff out of its shelf. He'd need it if he was going to convince the Togruta girl to trust him. He knit his brows together as a second thought crossed his mind.
Jess jumped off the bunk and quietly climbed up to Dak's. The small crystal flashed around Dak's neck. He hesitated for a moment, before leaning over his friend. He worked his hands around Dak's neck and unclasped the necklace.
Jess slid off the bunk and shoved the necklace into his belt. He sprinted into the armory and let out a sigh of relief as the door closed behind him. "Did you find her?" He asked, turning towards Amos.
Amos nodded. "Yeah. She's on level four. Level three is filled with slaves too."
"What planet are we closest to?" He adjusted some of his armor, tightening the straps. Something across the room caught his eye. Jess grabbed the bandolier and slid it over his chest plate. He shoved some extra charges into it. Two small S-5 blasters were nearby. Jess grabbed them and stuffed them into his belt as well.
"Bracca. It's run by the Ship Breaking Guild and the Empire," Amos replied. "Not the best place to go into hiding."
"It's good enough."
"We're in hyperspace. You're not thinking about detaching the escape pods while we're here, are you?"
"That's exactly what I'm thinking. I've got an idea for it."
Amos shook his head. "Wow, you really are crazy."
"Not crazy, just creative." Jess tapped a finger to his helmet. He finished grabbing what he needed. "Oh, if you can get a shuttle ready, I'll appreciate it. There's only a few pods down there and the slaves will be getting off this ship before I do."
"I'll do what I can," Amos promised. "You know Dak will kill you if he finds out, right?"
Jess let out a sigh. "Yeah, I know. I'll worry about him later. Amos," he clapped a hand on the stormtrooper's shoulder, "thank you. Don't get caught."
"I won't."
Jess smiled, even though his helmet hid it. He ducked out of the armory and cast a look around before continuing on. The lift was just down the hall. He jumped into it and selected the fourth detention level. Jess pulled his blasters out and set them to stun.
Two stormtroopers appeared once the lift door opened. "Hey, who are..." one of them began. Jess stunned them both and pulled their limp bodies into the lift. He ducked out and crept further into the detention facility.
Several of the cells were shut with green lights on the control panels. The main control console was at the end of the hall. He ran over to it and switched it on. Immediately, security footage and prisoner information was on display. Jess scanned the feed until he saw her.
Cell 2814. He ran over to the cell and opened it. It was empty. Jess narrowed his eyes and stepped inside. Instantly, a weight dropped down on him and he crashed to the floor. He could feel the girl reaching for his blaster. Jess twisted and grabbed her hands.
He slammed his knee into her stomach and flipped her over his head. She hit the hard floor of the cell, briefly winded. Jess stood and tossed his bloody cuff to her. She caught it and eyed it suspiciously. "You want out of here or not?" He asked.
