Outer Rim: 12 BBY
Medical Frigate
Ryn Alera

"I just don't know what to do," Ryn sighed, stacking the last of the medical supplies on the counter. Arwen pursed her lips and sorted through some of the supplies.

"Put this over there," she said, handing some small kits to Ryn.

She obeyed and continued talking. "He doesn't sleep at all now. I know the nightmares are getting worse but he refuses to talk to me about it."

Arwen's mass of black curls bounced as she stood. "Do you know of anything in particular he might be worrying about?"

Ryn thought for a minute. "Cassian, maybe. We haven't heard from him since Draven dispatched him and K2."

"Worry might be making him worse," Arwen agreed.

"He's running himself to the bone, too. He's always on the Profundity with Admiral Raddus and Lieutenant Reese. I know he has responsibilities now but surely not that many?"

Ryn sighed again and massaged her temples. In the few days that had gone by, she'd begun to see less and less of Jess. The times when she did see him, he looked ready to drop. She didn't know if he was purposefully avoiding her or was simply just that busy.

Arwen stopped in front of her and put her hands on Ryn's shoulders, looking up directly into her eyes. "Listen here, ma'am. He knows good and well what he's doing. You fretting won't help."

"I know that but what else can I do?"

"Confront him." Arwen crossed her arms and blew a loose curl out of her face. "Make him open up. Make him face what he's doing."

"And how do I do that? I've tried talking to him already."

"No, no talking. Confront. You're terrifying when you're confrontational. I've heard all about it. Use that to your advantage."

"You are a cruel woman, Arwen," Ryn laughed.

"No, I just know how to handle hot headed soldiers," she replied with a wink. Arwen patted her arm and motioned for her to stand. "Thanks for helping me out today. You'd think there'd be enough medical staff around but no. None of them want to be ready."

"Well, you are the best, Arwen. Don't hold them to your standards. They'll never make it."

"You have," Arwen replied. "Go on. I've work to do and you won't be able to help."

"All right. I'll let you know if I make any progress," Ryn replied. She ducked out of the medical bay and walked down the pristine white halls. Dozens of personnel moved throughout the ship.

Ryn headed towards the nearest shuttle that was leaving. The trip between ships was becoming a nuisance, but she preferred to move around and not just stay on the Survivor. She had already explored every inch of their new home with Feylin.

The shuttle reached the Profundity and landed in one of the hangars. Ryn jumped off the shuttle and worked her way towards the flight simulator rooms. Feylin was already waiting outside. "There you are! You took forever," Fey grumbled.

    "How'd you do?" Ryn asked.

"They told me I need more practice before I fly an actual X-wing."

"I guess flying a fighter would be different than the Remnant or the Survivor. Where's Azie?"

"He's powered down on the ship." Feylin yawned widely. "That's where I'm headed. What about you?"
