Chapter~14~ Movie Night

The two teens were now at JJ's house, Sadie was still torn about the argument, wanting to go see Kie so badly.

"Babe, babe." JJ tried to get Sadie's attention.
"Huh?"
"Go." Was all he said.
"What?" She furrowed her eyebrows.
"Go see Kie. I know that's what you're thinking about."

Sadie sighed, once again conflicted in what she should do. It's not that she didn't want to see or talk to Kie, she just wondered if she should.

"Okay," She let out. "I'll see you later, bye."
"Bye."
She kissed JJ on the cheek, then left.

She drove up to Kie's house, parking and getting out. She slowly walked up to the front door, wondering if Kie even wanted to see her. She rang the doorbell. Well guess we're about to find out.
The door swung open, revealing Kie.

'Shit, it couldn't have been one of her parents?' Sadie thought.

"Hey, Kie." She said softly.
"Hi." Kie said.

They stood there, staring at each other, not knowing what to do. Sadie clears her throat.

"Ca-can I come in... please?"

Kie didn't say anything, just stepped aside to let Sadie in. She closed and locked the door, turning to Sadie, who looked like she wanted to cry.

"Look, Kie, I'm so sorry for what I said. I was just angry, and I've been holding it in, and I've been wanting to talk to you about it, I-I just, I didn't know how. But, I really didn't want it to turn into what it did, and I'm so sorry." Sadie let out, almost all in one breath.

Kie processed her friends words for a moment, the silence killing Sadie. Eventually, Kie sighed, pulling Sadie into a hug.

"I get it, I was angry too, and I shouldn't have said that stuff about Sarah, even though she could be a bitch, she's still your friend. I definitely shouldn't have said that about your mom though, that was very, very shitty of me, I don't even know why I said it to be honest. I promise I won't ever say something stupid like that, ever again."

Sadie smiled against her friend, glad they made up. They pulled away from each other.

"So," Sadie started, walking into Kie's kitchen.
"Are you going to the movie night thing?" She asked, grabbing the Oreos out of the cupboard.

Kie gasped, "Yeah, it's like, the only event I enjoy over here. Plus, we really need to start doing more teen-like stuff, to balance out the whole, treasure hunt fiasco." She said.

"For sure." Sadie agreed.

The two girls were now at the movie event, dragging along JJ and Pope, who really didn't want to be there.

"I'm so glad we're doing this." Kie said.
"Same."

They heard the announcer, saying something into the mic, not really paying much attention to it. They found a place to sit, Pope looking unnerved.

"Hey Pope, you okay?" Sadie asked him.
"Yeah, mhm." He said, glancing at Kie.
"Um, okay." She said, not quite sure he was.

"Well, were gonna go get something to drink." Kie said, dragging Sadie away.

"What was that about?" Kie asked.
"I have no idea." Sadie replied.

The two girls walked up to the snack bar, "Hi, two Pepsi's, please." Kie said.
"Sure."
