Chapter~20~ Making Up

The next day, Sadie woke up feeling a little nauseous. She really didn't want this plan to blow up in their faces.

She got out of Kie's bed, seeing her not there. She's probably downstairs. Sadie dug through her overnight bag, picking out an outfit. She wanted something comfortable, knowing that she's gonna be sleeping overnight in a boat tonight. She sighed, really not wanting to do this.

She walked into Kie's bathroom, taking a quick shower. Getting out, she got dressed, then walked downstairs to be met with Kie eating a banana.

"Yo." Sadie said, sitting down next to Kie.
"Hey."

They then got a text from Pope in their group chat,

Pogies

From Pope:
Come out to the dock.

Guess John B's death wish is about to be set in place. Kie looked at Sadie, confused, while Sadie just shrugged. The two girls walked out to the end of the dock, seeing Pope in the HMS Pogue.

"What's going on?" Kie asked.
"Code red. John B and JJ conked out in the marsh." Pope lied.
"Okay, what does that have to with me?"
"We need you for mechanical."

Sadie rolled her eyes, going into the boat after Kie. She gave Pope a look, confirming if this is what he really wants to do. Pope just shrugged, seeing as there was no way out of this.

He drove them out into the marsh, seeing his dad's boat. "Can you guys do anything without me?" She asked, as her and Sadie hopped on, going to where John B and JJ were hovered over a compartment. They were "checking out" some wires.

"What happened?" She asked, irritated.
"The alternator's not, uh, alternating anymore." JJ responded.
"It's not charged." John B added.

Kie sighed, "Did you check the plugs?"

John B and JJ looked at each other, knowing their plan worked. "Uh, no. Can you do that for us?" JJ asked, as him and John B stood up.

As Kie bent down to fix it, JJ and John B quietly slipped out of the Alp, diving into the water.

"Uh, is this a joke?" Kie asked, seeing as nothing was wrong.

Just then, she heard the splash , looking to see John B and JJ swimming back to the boat. "Sayonara!" John B shouted, climbing into the boat.

"What are you guys doing?" She yelled. She turned to Sadie, looking for an answer, but Sadie refused to meet her gaze.

The two girls then heard banging coming from beneath them. Kie opened the compartment, to see Sarah Cameron hunched down into there.

Once the two girls realized what was happening, they started to flip. "No, no way."

"John B, come back!" Sarah yelled.
"Get your asses back here!" Kie yelled, furious.

"We can't. Not until you two figure it out." John B yelled back. The boys started to drive away, leaving Sadie with the mess that we call, Kie and Sarah's "friendship."
