Chapter~1~ Paradise on Earth

"We're the Pogues, and our mission this summer is to have a good time, all the time."

Sadie sat with JJ as they watched Pope and John B mess around. John B was standing on top of the roof, jokingly debating if he should jump or not, while Pope gave him statistics about the impact of the fall.

"That's what, a three story fall? I give you about a one-in-three chance of survival." Pope said.

Sadie rolled her eyes playfully, looking at John B put his finger in his mouth then checking the direction of the wind, in a mocking way.

"Hm. Should I do it?" He looked down at Pope, raising his eyebrows.

"Yeah, jump." Pope joked, encouraging John B in his idiocy.

"I'll shoot you on the way down." Pope continued, holding up a drill gun, playfully pointing it at John B.

"Oh you'll shoot me?" John B laughed, holding up finger guns.

Sadie started to wonder what was taking Kie so long, when she popped out from inside the unfinished house.

"They're gonna have Japanese toilets with towel warmers!" Kie called out to the group.

"Of course they are, they're Kooks." JJ said, rolling his eyes.

"You know, this used to be a turtle habitat, but who cares about the turtles anyway?" Kie said sarcastically.

"Oh, I want warm towels." Sadie joked.

"I wouldn't want cold towels." JJ mumbled.

Kie then looked up at John B on the roof, shielding her eyes from the burning sun, just now noticing he was up there.

"Could you please not kill yourself?" She asked, not wanting to see her friend die.

"You know if you spill that beer, I ain't getting you another one." JJ yelled at John B from beside Sadie.

"He's gonna drop it." Sadie said.

And like magic, the can slips from John B's hand, exploding onto the ground.

"Nooo!" John B groaned.
"Told ya." Sadie said smiling.
"Of course you do, like right as I said it."
They all said at the same time.

"Whoa!"
"Smooth."
Pope and Kie said simultaneously.

"Dumbass." Sadie laughed out.

"Hey!" We heard from the side of the house.

"Hey guys uh- security's here!" Pope said anxiously, not wanting to get caught by them.
"Let's wrap it up." He continued, already walking to get off the building.

"They're here early today." JJ said, standing up, holding his hand out for Sadie to take.

"Let's get this show on the road." The brunette said, smiling up at JJ.

"Humpty Dumpty, let's roll!" JJ exclaimed getting ready to run off with Sadie, their hands still connected.

"Let's go guys!" Kie said, doing the same.

"Gary, is that you?" JJ asked, leaning over the railing to look down at the security guards. Sadie did the same, seeing Gary staring up at them, unamused.

"Gary, hey! How's it going?" Sadie asked.

No answer.

"Well alright Mr.grumpy-pants." She mumbled, fake pouting.

"Gary, good to see you too man!" JJ sarcastically said.

"Is it time?" John B asked.

"You're asking for it." Kie smiled at the two teens, as they all started to run, feeling the adrenaline kick in.

"Whoo!" Kie and Sadie shouted in unison.

"JJ!" They heard Gary yell.

Everyone scattered off into different directions, to avoid getting caught by one of the security guards. The thing is, these guys are slow, and they low key suck at their jobs. Also, the most obvious reason, they're the Pogues. They really couldn't catch them, even if they tried.
JJ and Sadie ran through the house together, hand in hand, laughing.
One of the guards caught up and grabbed JJ resulting in their hands disconnecting, Sadie kept running though, knowing JJ would catch up.

"Hey, I got him!" The guard shouted to his partner.

JJ threw him off immediately.
"Not much of a hugger!"
"Let's go JJ!" Sadie yelled from over her shoulder.

"They're going out front!" One of the guards yelled to the other.

JJ caught up to Sadie grabbing her hand again. They ran outside and saw Pope hopping over the fence.

"Go Pope! Go, go, go, go, go!" JJ called out to his friend.

JJ and Sadie disconnected hands again, quickly hopping over the fence. They saw Pope once they got over, he was laying on the ground groaning, when JJ patted his back.

"Get up, fatso's comin'!" JJ said, just then a guard jumped on the fence, trying to hop over, but failing.

"Hey!" He yelled out.

All three of the teens laughed and continued running.
They then saw John B's van roll up, Kie sliding open the back door, and ran faster.

"Bus is leaving!" John B yelled out from inside the van.
"Let's go guys!" Kie yelled from the back.

The three all hopped into the already moving van, and crashed into each other, their breathing heavy.
They glanced at each other and started to laugh harder.

"Hey! Hey! Hey!" They all heard Gary yell

They all poked their heads out, seeing Gary still chasing after them. JJ then stuck his body half way out the window calling out to Gary.

"Come on, Gary!" JJ taunted the man.

"Check out Gary, gunnin' for a raise." Pope said, laughing.

Sadie laughed, sticking her body half way out the van, her arm around JJ, to keep her from falling out.

"Ya gotta do better than that Gary, come on!" She yelled out to the poor man.

"Wait, wait, slow down!" JJ called out to John B.

"Oh, come on guys, you're gonna give him a heart attack." Kie said, turning to John B.

"Hey, you little pricks!" Gary kept yelling.

"You're so close!" JJ taunted, holding a beer out for him.
"You can do it, there you go!" Sadie taunted with JJ.

JJ then threw the can to Gary, Gary catching it but then it slipped out of his hands, landing on the ground and exploding.

JJ groaned. "They really don't pay you enough, bro!"
I shook my head in agreement.

"Alright, y'all, that's enough." Kie laughed out, pulling us both fully back into the van.

"Oh, come on. That sorta initiative is just begging to be punished!" JJ complained to Kie.
Sadie still giggling from the events that just played out.

They heard Gary groan, and they all just laughed, glad that he finally got off their backs and gave up.
They all sat joking around, Sadie looking out the window, seeing the infamous 'welcome sign' for the island she lived on.

"The Outerbanks, Paradise on Earth."

Chapter one down! This took forever for me to do because, honestly? I didn't know how to start it. I didn't wanna copy anyone or anything, so I took some time to think, and yeah. It will get better, and I hope you guys enjoy! :)
