"Oh, hey. How was your trip?" Sadie asked, walking into the kitchen, seeing Sarah.

Sarah, shot her head up, eyes wide, telling Sadie to be quiet. Sadie walked over to where she was sitting, sitting down next her.

"Sheesh, alright. Just wondering."

Sarah sighed, giving in, "Okay, look, I have to tell you something, but, you can't tell anyone what I'm about to tell you," she started, Sadie nodded. "I was at Chapel Hill-"

"With John B." Sadie finished her sentence.
Sarah furrowed her eyebrows, confused. "Uh, yeah. How do you know that?"

Sadie rolled her eyes, "Oh, come on, Sarah. It was so obvious," Sarah sat, still looking puzzled. Sadie sighed, "I'm friends with both you, and John B. So, when both y'all disappear at the same time, and then back show up at the same time, it's pretty obvious. Plus, he called me last night." Sadie explained.

"Wait. He called you?"
"Mhm."
"What'd he say?"

Sadie recalled what happened last night. She had been at Kie's house, waiting for the movie event to start. They were watching a random episode of SpongeBob, when she got a call from a random number. She furrowed her eyebrows, about to decline it, when something told her not to. She got up of the couch, "Hey, where you going?" Kie asked.
"Um, Ward is calling me, I gotta take it." Sadie answered. Why did she just lie?
She shook her head, walking into the hall, answering the phone.
"Hello?"
"Sadie, is this you?"
"Um, yes. Who is this?"
"It's John B."
"John-" she cut herself off, looking around. She walked into a random room, sitting on the bed. Why was she being so suspicious? "John B, where have you been?"
"I'm at Chapel Hill... with Sarah."
"Sar-" she cut herself off again , lowering her voice. "Why is Sarah with you?" She asked.
"She helped me get here. Look, I think I know where the gold might be. I'll probably be back tomorrow, but, uh, we gotta go before the library closes. And don't tell anyone please. Bye."
"Wait, John B." She tried, but he had already hung up. "Be safe." She whispered to herself.

"Oh, so that's why he needed to stop at the phone booth. So does everyone just know then?" Sarah asked, getting nervous. Sadie just shrugged, "I don't know. Probably not, they're dumb."

Before the two girls could say anymore, Wheezie walked in. "Why aren't you two dressed?" She asked, referring to Midsummers.

"I'm not going." Sarah mumbled.
"You know I hate Midsummers Wheezie."
Then, came in Rose. What the hell is on her head?

"Why aren't you two dressed?" She asked.
"They're not going." Wheezie answered for them.
"Like hell they aren't, go get dressed."
Sarah rolled her eyes, "You're not my mom, so I don't have to do what you say." She sassed.
"Shit." Sadie whispered.

Rose scoffed, it was her turn to roll her eyes, "Ward, your daughter and her friend said they aren't going tonight." She said to him, as he walked into the kitchen.

Ward looked at the two girls, waiting for the reason as to why they're not going. Once again, Wheezie answered for them- well just for Sarah actually.
"Sarah's off Topper, JoJo." She teased.

Ward sighed, "Thank you very much." He replied sarcastically. "Now, what's goin' on?" He asked the two girls in front of him.
