The next day, the crew sat at the cháteau going over the plan. The girls sat in John B's van, while Kie showed a very poorly drawn out map of the well, from the one and only Pope.

"So, that's about 50 feet down, and they're using 100-feet rope. So I guess the little wagon... would go straight to the gold room." Kie explained.

"Wait, who drew this?" Sarah laughed.
"Who do you think?" Kie did the same, smiling over at Pope.

Pope was already staring at her, smiling. "Hey, you wanna help." John B broke him from his thoughts.
"Oh, yeah." Pope shook his thoughts away.

JJ came over to the girls in the van. "Kie! This better work. We can't pawn this thing off if it has a big wheat symbol in the middle of it." He said, dropping the gold onto the floor.

"It's gonna work." She assured.

They got to work melting the gold down. Once it was a big blob, they stopped. Seeing as that's the best they can do, they drove down to the pawn shop.

Getting out, JJ commented on the gold blob. "Nice job melting it down, Dr. Frankenstein." He turned to Kie.

"Like you could do better." She challenged.
"I actually could. I took a welding class." He argued.
"You- when?" She asked, not even close to being convinced.

"Hey, hey. Chill out, okay." John B said, not wanting to cause a scene.

"Easy for you to say. You're not the one who has to pawn this shit off." JJ said. "How'd I get stuck with this job anyway?" He asked.

"You're the best liar." Pope replied.
"What about me?" Sadie asked.
"Look, you two together may be hell sometimes. But, you're a good team, and we need y'all to just go in there and lie your asses off." John B said.

They walked into the pawn shop, the bell ringing at the top of the door.

"Hello, ma'am." Sadie politely greeted the woman at the counter.

"Hello." The woman said back. She looked suspicious, wondering why two teens were at the shop.

"I see you buy gold." Sadie stated.
"That's what the sign say, don't it." The woman pointed at it.

"Well, I sure hope you buy a lot of it, because we're about to blow you're mind." JJ said.

"I ain't got much mind left to blow, so have at it." The woman replied.

JJ pulled the backpack off his shoulders, then pulled the gold out of it. "How about them gold apples."  He smirked.

The woman chuckled, "That ain't real."

"That ain't real?" JJ repeated.

"It can't be." The woman laughed.

"All right. Feel how heavy it is." JJ said.

The lady did as he said, going to pick it up, but struggled. She was taken back at how heavy it was, but still wasn't convinced.

"Mhm! Let's get some light on that." JJ said.

Sadie just let him do his thing, seeing as he knew way more about the gold than she did. She just stayed by his side, waiting for her que.

The woman, studied the gold with her light, before coming to a conclusion. "Spray-painted tungsten."

"Spray-painted tungsten? Really? Okay, why don't you see how soft it is?" JJ directed.

"You mind?" She asked.
