John B sat in one of his huge hammocks, looking at his dad's compass, millions of thighs running through his head.

"Look, for nine months, they tried to get me to believe that my dad's dead. They say I'm in denial.
Whatever.
Denial's underrated. You should try it sometime. It's highly effective, and denial if you're wrong."

John B kept opening and closing the compass, seeing if he maybe missed anything.

"It doesn't make any sense. My dad is the last guy who would ever get lost at sea.
This compass coming back to me, my father's compass, which was passed down for generations, it's a sign.
My dad's still alive, and I'm gonna find him."

Kie and Sadie were at The Wreck, it wasn't that busy today, especially because of the storm that happened a couple days ago. They sat at the bar, after serving the two tables they had that day.

"So." Kie started, turning to Sadie.
"Mhm."
"You and JJ." Kie started, as if it were obvious.

Sadie choked on her drink.
"What about me and JJ?" She tried playing dumb.
"Oh come on Sade, y'all are dating!" Kie said.
"Uh, what- no, no- I mean, come on, just think about what you're saying. That's.... stupid." Sadie sighed at the end knowing she got caught.
"Stupid, really? Don't think we didn't hear you almost call him "babe" on the boat the other day, or actually call him "babe" at the kegger the other night. We were all just too focused on JB to actually say anything about it." Kie smirked, knowing she got her.

Sadie sat in silence, waiting for Kie to say they can't date, or get mad at her. That never came though, Kie just put her arm around Sadie, pulling her closer.

"Hey, I ain't gonna get mad, I actually think y'all are cute. It's John B and Pope you gotta worry about, mostly John B, but... I'm on your side, because, that stupid ass rule? Shouldn't even exist anymore." Kie explained.

Sadie smiled up at her best friend, glad that she wasn't mad. She was right though, John B was the one who came up with the rule, so he's probably gonna be the one who's most posed off, knowing that JJ and her broke it. She sighed, becoming stressed.

"I think, you'll be good. I'm sure John B will be a little upset, but, it's John B. He'll get over it." Kie assured her friend, as if reading her mind.
"Yeah, yeah, you're right. Thank you Kie, seriously." Sadie smiled.
"Of course."
"Now, let's talk about you and John B." Sadie smirked.
"What? No, no, no, no, no!"

The Pogues were at John B's, JJ yelling at them, while reenacting the events he just experienced.

"And were tight outside like this..." He leaned up against the wall.
"And all we hear inside is, bam! Bam! Bam! Knocking paint all of the wall, G! So, we're, like oh shit- and look, there's paint all in my hair."
He came over to the three Pogues sitting down, listening to his story, John B being silent the whole time, shaking the "paint" all out of his hair. They all made a disgusted look.

"Ew, JJ."
"That's, dandruff."
"Okay, thank you."

"Look at all that. That's paint. So, at this point, I'm just like.... waiting for my death."
"Wait, so you saw the guys that shot at us, right?" Pope asked.
"Yeah."
"Ok, what did they look like?" Sadie asked.
"Yeah, did you get a good description of them?"
"Anything we can bring to a police report?"
"Burly." Was all JJ said.
"Burly?" Sadie repeated.
"What does that even mean?" Pope asked.
"That's not very helpful." Kie commented.
"Okay, like the type of guy at my dad's garage. You guys know, he made cargo hides for drug smugglers." JJ explained.
"Yes, we know." Sadie said.
"Mhm."
"Okay, so then, I can tell you with full confidence, theses boys, these killers..." He leaned against the wall, hitting his juul.
"They're square groupers." He blew out the smoke.
"Like narco square groupers?"
"Yeah, what are you talking about?"
"Like Pablo Escobar square groupers?" Pope tried to confirm.
"Yeah."
"Okay, guys, not everything is a kingpin movie." Kie commented.
