-Chapter 54: Double the Trouble as the Star Shines Part Two

I sigh heavily, looking around the empty place, and shake my head.

Everyone is still out and about. Of course, they're busy. Kurena is busy doing her thing along with Shinji while Sougo is trying to figure out things. He contacted me earlier and told me that he's going to be out with Woz for a bit. Wonderful.

"Hey, you're still here? Shouldn't you go out and hang out with those friends of yours?" Junichiro asks me and I look over at the doorway. He holds up a cup and I nod my head. "I figured you could use something to relax you. Tea isn't your favorite drink, right?"

"I like tea, but I prefer it sweetened right now." It is bland when it isn't full of sugar to me right at this time. "What kind?"

"Peppermint tea. It probably isn't the most relaxing tea choice, but you do like having mints when you can. At least I think you do. Kurena brought those mints home from her job and you downed them." 

"Ah, right..." That was an embarrassing moment for me. I wanted something to eat, but was too lazy to cook. "Here, I'll take that tea now, Uncle." 

He moves closer to me and holds it out, making it closer to me. I take the cup from him and look down at the minty liquid. I can't wait to have some tea!

"How has he been treating you?" Junichiro asks me, sounding quite curious about my relationship with Sougo.

I look back at him. "He's been treating me pretty well. I love him and he loves me, so we're all good. He's a good guy and I am happy that you raised him so well. Most kids can have trouble adjusting to difficult circumstances in life, but he doesn't seem to have had that hard of a time doing so."

"He has a had a hard life, but his dream to be king is what keeps him going. Of course, a few other important things as well," he replies, laughing a little. "You're someone who is important to him, so you keep him going now. He looks forward to you all the time now." 

"He wants to spend his life together with me." I know I won't be with him for as long as he lives, but he'll have that with me. "I appreciate that he know what he wants already. It is difficult finding out you're having a child at a young age." 

"I can't really imagine it, but it must be. People assume things about you don't they?" 

I nod slowly. "They think we were being young and dumb, which is only slightly true. We understood the risks and took a chance. It wasn't the smartest decision ever, but we're happy still. That is what matters to me." 

"Sorry if I'm getting too into your business, but I want to know about your relationship with him. I want to know you more since we're family."

I laugh. "I completely understand that you want to know more about the woman who is with your precious Sougo. Honestly, I wasn't sure about being with him romantically at first. I felt like something was special about him and that we belonged together, but I thought it was going to be a friend thing." 

"A lifelong friendship, huh?" 

I nod as I bring the cup to my lips. I take a sip of the warm liquid and swallow, the minty taste hitting my tastebuds. This is pretty good. It is strong, but not too strong. I hope that he can make more of this for me sometime soon.

I swallow and smile. "Yeah, something like that." 

I thought I would just be the person who assists him on his kingly missions. I would be the person who gives him the most support and keeps him from going off the deep end. That is what I thought I would be doing right now. But here I am! I'm pregnant and totally in love with Sougo.
