-Chapter 31: Wo-ah! That's My Boyfriend You're Taking!

"I see that you're feeling a lot better," Kurena says, smiling at me. "I was worried about you being under the weather. We wouldn't have been able to go anywhere if you were sick still. We have to do something exciting yet again."

I don't feel too much better despite taking medicine to keep from puking. I should really head to a doctor, but I honestly don't feel like doing so. They need me to be here and not wasting some doctor's time. 

"I guess I can go out with you all. Is everything alright with you? You know, since Woz won't be joining us unless he feels the need to?" I have to know how my daughter is feeling and holding up. I'm worried about her issues with him getting in the way of the things we should do. 

Kurena nods her head. "Yeah, I'm doing perfectly fine. Woz hasn't been around to bother me at all, but I feel like he's been up to something and that we should be careful." Is he going to work with the Time Jackers again?

"Marina!" 

I feel arms go around me and I turn my head a bit, my eyes going to Sougo. "Hey, Sougo!" I exclaim, resisting the urge to puke. I know people think you can't resist the urge to puke, but you can. At least I'm able to keep it down most of the time.

"How are you feeling?" Sougo asks me, placing a kiss on my cheek gently. "I was upset that you couldn't be here the other day. You missed all the excitement."

"Everything is fine with me now that I am here with you." I force a smile onto my face. "How are you feeling? Is everything getting better with Geiz yet?" It is doubtful that things are getting better between them right now.

"Not yet," Sougo responds. "And I'm doing fine. You don't need to worry about me. How about we go somewhere with Kurena and spend some time together as a family?" Time together as a family? That sounds delightful.

"I'm down to party together as long as you don't do anything to embarrass me dad," Kurena says and I look at her as she grins. "We're going to have a fun time together then, huh?"

Sougo releases me from his grasp and I turn to him, looking him in his pretty eyes. "We're going to have a good time without fighting any evil, right?" I ask.

I don't want to do anything stressful while my stomach is tossing and turning. I really hope I won't get sick when I'm out there. The last thing I want is for Sougo to freak out and drag me to the hospital only to find out nothing is really wrong with me.

"Where do you want to go, father?" Kurena just wants to know where we're going. She doesn't need to worry about possibly fighting. She should really transform more often, but she won't since she has been becoming quite lazy lately.

"I promise that we're not going to be fighting anyone and to the park that is nearby. It is a cycling park," Sougo states, answering our questions. 

"Alright, let's head out then!" Kurena exclaims and I laugh. 

I hope this will be fun.

"Ha! That gorilla reminds me of something Geiz did earlier," Sougo tells me, laughing. I love his laugh since it is quite cute. I wonder if he thinks that about my laugh.

I look over the gorilla statute and nod my head, laughing a bit. It does remind me a bit of Geiz, but I don't know what Sougo is talking about. I guess he made a face and did some weird pose that makes him think of him when staring at the statute.

"Ah!" 

I look over as people run, fleeing from this place, and my eyes go to Another Rider. Seriously? Right now when I want to vomit and hold my boyfriend's hand? Why can't we have enough peaceful and very happy days together? Why is it always spending time fighting monsters and all?
