-Chapter 33: Becoming a Family

I look over at Shinji as he sits down across from Kurena, his lips twisted upwards. This is certainly awkward. I have a son that I didn't know existed until now and my own daughter didn't even know him. They both really are alike when it comes to hiding themselves from people. 

Why do they go with disguises for no reason at all? I mean, I sort of get Kurena's reasons to, but Shinji doesn't really look like me or Sougo. He just looks like himself and that is fine. Not all kids take after either parents in appearance sometimes. He kind of looks like he could be related to my grandmother. Like a son almost.

"Staring is rude," Shinji states as he lifts up his cup from the table. "Oh, I'm glad my drink is still looking so good. I just had it poured not too long ago by Sougo." And Sougo is at school right now, so I'm stuck here babysitting. Poor thing had to go to school all confused and lost about what he has gotten into with me. 

"The tester was faulty wasn't it?" Kurena asks. 

"That is the answer, yes," Shinji answers. "She thought she wasn't pregnant because of that. Man, Woz was so upset that his precious Lord didn't tell him about me. I mean, why would he? Marina didn't want anyone to know." I didn't?

"I should have just followed that dude out the other day. He was hot and I rather be stuck with him and pass through some other place," Kurena whines. She is really just looking to find a distraction to keep her from thinking about Woz, right?

"Am I that bad?" Shinji looks at me, frowning as he takes a sip of his drink. He swallows it quickly and puts it down. "Mother, I was thinking that I should move in with you despite having my own place. I want to be sure that no issues me pop up. I'm a surprise you know." Oh, you don't need to remind me.

"Yeah, I've noticed." I can't believe I'm pregnant at this age. No wonder why he was saying he was so old and all! It just flew over my head!

"That dude should come back and be with me," Kurena says, placing her head down on the table. 

"I just can't believe she is having a demon king's spawn," Geiz's voice says and I turn my head, staring at him as he glares at Shinji. "And he's a supporter, huh?"

"My father is a good man who is doing the best thing for the world. You're just a bitter and very jealous hater," Shinji says, kind of snapping at Geiz. So, he believes in Sougo's message? I guess he'll be friends with Woz then.

"Marina, have you ever considered not sleeping with your boyfriend?" Geiz asks me. "I get that it is too late, but you can think about it after this."

"Hey, are you trying to make me not exist?" Kurena stands up, probably glaring at Geiz.

Tsukuyomi sighs a little. "Geiz, don't upset Kurena, alright? She just discovered she has a brother that she had no idea about and that he believes in Oma Zi-O's rule as King."

"Shinji is going to be the death of me," Kurena says, fake sobbing. 

"Oh, shut it! I have no intentions of killing you or harming you, baby sis," Shinji responds, laughing. He is seriously not acting his age and it is kind of weird. It is like he's forever young or just pretty chill as a person.

"You have a Time Mazine as well?" Geiz asks.

I look at Shinji as he nods. "I do have one, Geiz," he answers. "Do you wish to see it? I can show you it, but only if you get closer to me and let me do as a please. And I'm not hitting on you. I have no interest in dating you or anyone else right now. I'm focused on the good message of my father and king."

Geiz sighs. "I do not wish to see it."

"Your loss. So, mommy, what was it like with daddy? I bet it was a great first time since you're having me!" Shinji leans forward, laughing hard. He's really interested in himself, which kind of makes sense.
