Over the next few weeks- with the help of almost daily shopping- Ren was finally back to her old self. We found out that the boys had been arrested for assulting another girl, and were serving time, which made Ren feel a lot better. I thought something else would be more deserved, but my input isn't valid in the court of law.My train of thought was derailed as I was nudged gently in my side.
"Hey," Ren started, "you okay?"
I blinked myself back to reality and nodded. "Yeah, just stuck in my own wonderland, I guess."
"Okay Alice," Traitor teased. "Now, aren't you going to eat lunch?"
I shook my head no. "I don't have the money, and I'm not taking yours, so don't ask."
He sighed, "You're very stubborn."
I rolled my eyes playfully, "And you're the one to talk?"
Ren giggled lightly, "You two should just date already."
"What?!?" Traitor and I said simultaneously.
"What do you mean by that?" I asked shocked.
"You two are like I bickering old married couple, but without the married part. Traitor just needs to ask you out before he looses it."
"Hey, I'm not loosing anything! You're just being a brat," he replied, stuffing his sandwich in his mouth.
"Yeah, and I don't think he would... I mean, no respectable person would even think to ask someone like me out."
"Oh, don't say that, you're a total babe." Ren winked at me playfully with a smile.
I smiled back, "Thanks, but that's not true. Anyway, I need to go to the library. I'll see you guys later," I ended, grabbing my backpack and leaving.
Why was what Ren said affecting me so much? It's not, that's how. Not bothering me at all.
I sighed, my mind was foggy lately, so there was no need to fuss. I was literally smacked out of my thoughts when I was pushed into the lockers by a grinning blonde asshole.
"Oh, I'm sorry, didn't see you there." I heard the condescending voice ring through my ears.
I groaned as I looked up at Maria with an eye roll. "Don't you have anything better to do than pick on sophomores? I thought older classemen were suppose to be more mature, but I guess that doesn't apply to everyone, now does it?"
I smirked as her face fumed. "I'm getting real tired of your attitude, slut."
"And I'm getting real tired of you're bullying, bitch."
"How dare you?" She yelled, raising her hand up at me.
I caught it before it hit my face with a glare. "I wouldn't do that if you value your life, you egotistical low life insecure piece of shit!"
She yanked her hand away angrily. "You're too weak to go up against me."
"Says the one who only picks a fight with me when no one else is around. Now that is what sounds like fear."
She grunted loudly. "Just wait. One day, you'll be all alone with no one to protect you."
I smirked, "And soon you'll realize that your bullying is probably just you being jealous over little ol' me and you'll hate yourself even more."
Granted that was a bit harsh, but I was tired of her shit at this point.
She huffed before shoving me into the lockers again before leaving. Pussy.
