I blinked a couple of times as I stared at him, looking for any sign of him pulling a prank on me.

"I'm sorry, what was that?"

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He replied, his voice sincere, and his eyes hopeful.

I couldn't find the words to respond, I could only stare into his dark pools in wonder, with just one question.

Why?

Why did he want me?

Why did he want to date me?

Why am I feeling this way?

Was he feeling the same, and thus why he asked me?

Okay, I guess that's more than one question, but still.

After what I'm sure felt like an eternity to him, I finally nodded. "Y-yes," I replied, not being able to form any other words.

He smiled widely as he stepped closer. "Now, we have a reason to play hookie. Let me take you out, please?"

I rolled my eyes playfully, finishing my coffee and putting the cup in the sink. "Fine, we'll go out."

I barely had a chance to turn back around when I felt my feet leave the ground. I squeaked as he lifted me up, spinning me a bit.

"Traitor! Put me down!" I yelled, laughing as I held onto him for dear life.

"Neh, I don't think so," he replied, laughing at my reaction.

He spun me a bit more as I continued to squeal. Finally, after a lot of yelling and smacking him in the shoulder, he put my feet back on the ground. I went to back away, but his hands were still on my waist, preventing me from moving.

I looked up at him, feeling his warmth from how close he was to me. I felt my heart rate pick up as he looked down at me, his smile large and warm. I felt like he was getting closer, so I gently pushed his chest away from me so there was space between us.

"Uh, I'm gonna get dressed," I announced.

I turned to go to my room, hearing him ask, "Can I watch?"

I rolled my eyes. "Shut up, dickhead."

He chuckled as I closed my door, sighing to myself before dressing in clean clothes. I threw my hair into a ponytail, not wanting to deal with it, before coming back out of the room.

"So, where's our next adventure to?" I asked, throwing on my shoes and jacket.

"How about to the park? Hopefully this time we won't get any interruptions."

I nodded as he put his shoes on. "Sure, I really liked it there."

"Perfect," he replied with a smile, opening my door for me.

I smiled back as we walked out, locking the door before going to his car. We made small talk as we drove to the park, arriving only in a few minutes. When we got there, Traitor took my hand in his as we walked to our spot.

I smiled as we arrived to the beautiful open meadow, inhaling the sweet scent of flowers. I looked at him mischievously before pushing him into the grass, laughing as I quickly stepped out of his reach. He smirked as he stood up, trying to grab me, but I ran. I heard him laughing as he chased me, knowing damn well he was faster than me.

He chased me for a bit, slowing down so I felt like I had a chance. But, at one point, I lost my balance, and he easily tackled me to the ground. We laughed as we laid there, my face heating up as I fully realized he was on top of me.
