I sighed as we finally called it a night. Well, when I say night, I mean it was two o'clock in the morning. As I packed up my bag, I told Traitor goodbye, but he spoke before I left."Do you need a ride home?"
"No I drove here, but thanks."
He looked at me confused, "But if you have a car, why don't you drive it to school instead of walking?"
"I don't have a car, and I don't drive my baby unless it's for long distances."
He still looked confused, but Ren came down the hall before he could add anything.
"Alex, you should stay the night! It's so late, are you sure you can drive home?" She asked concerningly.
"I can't stay, I work open to close tomorrow so I have to be up early. Well, earlier than you guys wake up."
"True," she agreed, adding, "at least let us walk you out.
I shrugged okay as we walked down the stairs. Traitor opened the front door for me, yet my goodbye was cut off again as Ren squealed, "Is that yours?!"
I turned to see my Harley being the only motorcycle in the driveway and nodded. "Yep, that's my baby," I replied, walking up to my bike and putting my bag in the seat.
Traitor looked even more confused as he asked, "Wait, you drive a Harley Davidson motorcycle?"
"Yeah, what? Is that a shock to you?"
"Yeah, it's just...how can you afford one?"
I exhaled sharply as to not explode on his ignorance, "Wow okay, um, listen Shirley Temple, I may not have a mansion or millions of dollars to my name, but that doesn't mean I can't afford nice things like you."
"No, I didn't mean it like..."
"But if you're so curious, no, I can't afford it, that's why I don't drive it often." I paused before I added, "It belonged to...someone I knew."
He nodded, but otherwise stayed quiet.
Ren smiled as she said excitedly, "Well, I think it's awesome!"
"Thanks," I replied, then added, "well, I'm gonna head out. I'll see you guys later on Monday."
I hopped on my Harley as Ren waved bye, putting on my helmet before pulling out of their driveway. I sighed as I drove, the idea of spending the week with him on this project made me feel exhausted, but I had to put up with it for now.
At least, I hoped I could...

I sighed as I looked at the clock above the merchandise, it was almost time for closing, thank God. It was Sunday, so it was pretty slow in the mall, especially since I worked for twelve hours. As I stood behind the counter, I heard a voice behind me that I knew too well.
"Hey sexy," Traitor said -I could practically hear his smirk.
I rolled my eyes as I turned around, replying monotonously, "Hi."
He chuckled, "You know, I'm not a bit surprised that you work at Hot Topic."
"Why? Because I'm a piece of emo trash that can't bite her own tongue?"
"Well, you're not wrong, but mostly because you're very dark and edgy," he replied, saying the last part in a sort of mocking tone.
"If that's true, then why are you here?"
He shrugged, "Maybe I like MCR shirts and spike bracelets too."
I laughed once, "Yeah right. Now, unless you're actually gonna buy something, can you please not bother me?" I asked, forcing myself not to be too snarky, since I was still on the clock.
