It had been a few days after I saw Traitor turn. God, I was still in shock over that. I just couldn't believe that he was a werewolf. What did I drag myself into?
It was currently after school on a Friday. I was at my locker, putting my stuff I needed in my back pack, and the stuff I didn't out and into the locker. As I closed the door, I turned to see Traitor coming towards me. I turned and hauled ass out of there.
"Alex, wait!" He called, but I ignored him.
I opened the front doors, running down the stairs and off the school grounds. I heard his footsteps behind me, but that didn't stop me.
"Alex!" He yelled, coming up behind me and grabbing my arm.
I didn't look at him as I thrashed my arm. "Let me go!"
"No, we need to talk."
"There's nothing to talk about! Now let go!" I pulled my arm, but he was significantly stronger than me.
"Listen to me, damn it!"
I sighed in annoyance, I stopped fighting him but I refused to look at him.
"Please, Alex," he said with a calmer voice. "I never intended for you to find out like that."
"Don't lie to me. You never intended for me to find out."
He sighed, "I'm sorry. Please look at me."
Look at what? I thought, The beauty or the beast?
I sighed as I turned, keeping my eyes on his torso. I couldn't bare to look him in the eyes.
"Can we go somewhere were we won't be heard?"
"First you grab me, now you make me go somewhere with you? What next? Force me to-"
"Will you stop being a smart ass for two seconds and let me explain?"
I groaned as I let him pull me into the woods near the school. Once we were a good distance from people, we found some convienitly placed boulders to sit on. Once we sat, I pulled my arm back and sat a good distance from him.
"I'm not going to hurt you."
My ass.
He sighed as he started talking. "I'm sure you want to know about everything."
I nodded, This was going to be interesting to explain.
He shifted uncomfortably as he continued. "What happened the other night, it was... So, when a were meets his or her transition at eighteen, it takes a while before we can control it. Right now, I can transform during a full moon, and every once in a while at will."
I nodded, "How did you become one?"
"From birth. My family is pure, we're actually the last of the purebloods. Meaning, simply, the only family that hasn't been tainted with human blood." He paused before continuing, "You see, my father is the Alpha. In our pack, we are deemed as a type of royalty. Not the legacy I want to be a part of exactly, but the one I'm born into."
"Explains why you're constantly getting into fights and shit."
He nodded, "If I disgrace the family legacy, then I won't have to become Alpha. It'll go down to Ren and her mate when she finds them."
"Why don't you want to be Alpha? Most people would like to have that kind of power."
"Not me. I think it's over rated." He looked at the ground, a sad look hiding in his eyes.
