A bitter awkwardness swarmed around us whilst we walked around the forest, we'd walked miles ad miles and the only things to be heard we Wolfie's footsteps and my breathing, plus the occasional bird before it was startled by a giant mechanic wolf and flew for safety, I didn't blame it, really, Wolfie looks so intimidating and her authoritative persona certainly didn't help. She'd glance around for Prime, her eyes scanning every inch of the greenery as her ears constantly moved. Every now and then I'd catch her looking down at me only to look away when I looked at her.
"We got off on the wrong foot, you're timid in my presence. I didn't want that." She spoke making me look to her whilst we walked.
"It's not you, it's just... well okay, it's you. Everything about you screams-"
"Don't joke with me, do not take me for granted. I'm the alfa and you're not?" She interrupted with a sigh. "I've heard it before, I lost a good friend because of my status."
"Status? I, I don't understand." I frowned.
"I was practically royalty at home, the great Prime's warrior." She boasted. "Zarney was my friend, my ally. She, like me, saw the good in the autobots."
"Is she a wolf too?"
"No. I fear I'm the only one remaining. Zarney was what we called a Zarnian."
"Her names sounds like that word, Zarnian." I pointed out, Wolfie nodded her head to me.
"That's because she came from the original Zarnian race, she was a leader yet fought with the rest of us. She went against the rules of her origins and created a new history for all of us, even young Bumblebee. Because that's when people realised they could break the rules and autobots became decepticons, decepticons became autobots and I realised who I had to fight for-" Wolfie's eyes darted upwards and I watched as she lowered herself, her ears standing on point, tail down as she prowled forward between the trees silently. I peered out a bush and frowned looking upon Prime and someone else, who was clearly a female too. She was tall, not as tall as Wolfie when she stood, and her whole body was a mixture of red. She was curvy too, same body structure as Wolfie nearly just small hips, broader hips and bigger arms, and her eyes glowed green, huh that was a new one. She didn't have claws like Wolfie and I found myself questioning who this transformer was and what she transformed into, it was something seeing as wheels were attached to her thighs, like Prime. She had a slight green glow on her arm and I thought perhaps it had been a scar but I didn't want to ask there and then, heck I was panicking we'd be busted just by how loud my heart was beating. I listened into the conversation.
"I told you, Senna is to stay with us." Prime told her and I swallowed.
"Megatron wants him, and he certainly wasn't happy when he found his least favourite person alive. How did she survive, Optimus? We had records that Wolfie died!" She brought her face closer to his, attempting to intimidate him.
"Tell me, by threatening me, what do you plan to achieve?" He asked firmly making her scoff and step back.
"Megatron wants the girl, Prime. He will get her, and when he does, all your time protecting her will be wasted. Give like the precious metal that they scowled together to create you."
"I've heard you speak like that before, it didn't end well for you last time." Wolfie spoke up making them both turn towards the small folds of trees as she walked out and growled looking to the alien. "Good to see you, Zarney." Wolfie spoke still walking forward, she slowly stood, rising to tower over Zarney.
"I wish I could say the same." Zarney replied as Prime took a step back and looked where Wolfie came from before his eyes landed on me. They widened and he pushed his hands out motioning for me to stand backwards. I stepped back, my ankle landing on a twig making it bend and a yelp escape my lips and I landed with a heavy thud. I heard footsteps and a growl. "I know she's there, move out my way." Zarney echoed as the sound of someone walking behind me made me pick my head up and my eyes met red ones.
"Hello." Megatron spoke and I screamed. We were still far out from my home but I still feared for our safety. "It's good to see you looking so well." Megatron laughed and I screamed for Prime, the sudden thudding of someone running came to halt when the trees were ripped from the ground and Prime stood in front of me, his stance turning to protective mode. Wolfie's growls echoed and Zarney's threats collided with the sudden sounds of them both fighting. "It looks like your pet met my friend, Zarney."
"It looks like you still don't get the memo, you're not going to get me." I snapped.
"That's just what you think." Megatron looked down to me with a grin.
"Over my dead body." Prime intervened.
"So be it." Megatron growled throwing a punch into Prime that send his body hurdling down to me and I hid my eyes with my hands waiting for the impact.
