Two weeks have passed since her practice with Coach Sarah, KZ and Mackie. Two weeks have also passed since her Blind Audition has been shown on National TV. In between those two weeks were her personal preparations for the upcoming Battles. Mas lalong dumami na ngayon ang friend request nito sa Facebook at followers sa Twitter even if she's not active on social media. Hindi na rin siya makalabas ng bahay na walang nakakakilala sa kanya.
In the span of two weeks ay mas dumami ang attention na nakukuha nito, even sa kanilang opisina. May mga time na hindi na siya pinapapasok sa office dahil may mga fans na siya na naka-abang sa kanilang building, making some noise and commotion.
Siyempre hindi pa rin naman nawawala ang mga harutan nila ni Elmo in between those weeks kahit na busy na sila both sa battles. They see to it na may extra time sila to catch-up, have some moment, and alam niyo na.
Tomorrow will be the taping for her battles and she's dead nervous already. She's been in constant communication with her mom to ease the anxiety she's been feeling pero mas prefer pa rin niya yung physical presence nito. Her sister's also supportive to her, even cleared her sched para manood together with her kuya RJ. Ang ate Dei naman niya ay pauwi na ngayon para mapanood din ang battles niya bukas. Even Maqui and some of their friends from the office promised to watch tomorrow. She has all the support from her family, friends and even her few supporters, pero hindi pa rin niya maiwasan ang kabahan.
She's in the middle of overthinking when her phone vibrated.
Elmo Calling
"Hey!" He greeted her.
"Hey"
"So, excited for tomorrow?"
"No, gosh pinaalala mo na naman. Kanina pa ako kinakabahan."
"You shouldn't be Juls. You're good okay? Tsaka based from your story about your rehearsals, I know everyone will love your performance tomorrow. Andoon lang ako sa sulok, silently cheering for you."
"Thanks Moe. Sorry, hindi ko lang siguro talaga maiwasan kabahan, alam mo na, mas natatakot nga ako na ma-disappoint kayong lahat. What if hindi maganda yung gawin ko bukas? What if mapahiya ako? What if..."
"Shh Juls chill ka lang okay? Want me to come over? Tawagan ko na si kuya RJ."
"Sira, huwag na tsaka alam ko naman busy ka rin. Lilipas din to. Okay na yung kausap kita."
"Just be yourself tomorrow okay? They'll gonna love you! You really are good Juls, I am seriously speaking, not being biased but being one of The Voice coach." Upon hearing those words ay mas gumaan na ang pakiramdam ni Julie.
"Chill ka lang okay? You'll gonna be great tomorrow. And whatever happens, andito lang kami, ako. I always got your back Juls!" Hindi na napigilan ni Julie yung mapaluha.
"Hey are you crying? Fuck mas gusto tuloy kitang puntahan."
"Hoy haha wala 'to. Overwhelmed lang siguro ako sa mga sinabi mo. Thanks for always being there Moe. Sobrang gumaan yung pakiramdam ko upon hearing those words from you. Sobrang thank you talaga."
"Always Juls, always. Pero gusto na talaga kitang yakapin. Daan na lang siguro ako diyan mamaya before going home."
"Hoy sira huwag na. I'm already good Mr. Magalona." She said.
"Sure? I really don't mind."
"Oo nga, makulit ka talaga ee no?"
"Sa'yo lang Julie, especially knowing na ganyan ka."
"Okay na nga kasi ako haha"
They talked for another 30 minutes, talking about other stuffs but The Voice. Mas lalong gumaan yung feeling ni Julie after their talk.
She was about to go down when she heard a familiar voice coming from the living room. Agad niya itong binaba at tumambad sa kanya ang asawa ng kanyang kuya RJ.
"Ate Dei!"
"Juls! OMG I missed you!" They both hugged each other.
"Grabe sobrang tagal na mula noong huli kang umuwi! Na-miss ko na yung mga luto mo." Julie said.
"Ano ka ba? I could cook now oh, andito na ako! I am so excited for tomorrow! Sobrang proud kami ng kuya mo sa'yo! Minsan nga iniisip ko bakit hindi niya namana yung singing skills ng Papa Jonathan." Dei said looking at RJ.
"Hoy! Magaling din naman akong kumanta no? Kung nagseryoso lang ako baka superstar na ako ngayon." RJ protested as he walks closer to her wife.
"Mafeeling ka talaga kuya! Tara na ate, na-miss kita! Hayaan mo na 'yan si kuya."
"Oisht Juls pagod pa ang ate mo from her flight. Let her rest first!" Sigaw ni RJ.
"Hayaan mo na, na-miss ko rin kasi talaga siya. Tara na? Ano'ng gusto mong food?" Ganti ni Dei.
...
"Nakarating na sa akin ang balita Moe. Is it true?" Umuwi ngayon si Elmo sa Antipolo para kumuha ng ilang gamit para bukas sa taping nila sa The Voice.
"What do you mean mom?"
"You're dating a contestant. Sinabi na sa akin lahat ng kuya Frank mo."
"Mom, I've known her since before The Voice."
"Yes, you've known her, pero iba ang magiging dating sa ibang tao. Moe alam mo naman na hindi ako nanghihimasok sa personal life mo, especially sa love life mo. We've raised you with the freedom to choose whom you'll love. Gusto ko lang sana na hinay hinay lang muna kayo. Lalo na ngayon, she's been seen throughout the country. Kilala na siya at lumabas na siya sa TV. Please be very extra careful Moe. Ayaw kong nahihirapan ka, o siya."
Elmo has no words to throw against her mom. Tama naman kasi ito.
"But she really is beautiful. Tiis tiis lang Moe, malapit naman na matapos ang The Voice." Her mom patted his back and left him.
He rushed to his room to get the stuffs he needed. Paglabas niya, tumambad sa harap niya ang kanyang kuya Frank.
"Sorry bro, masyadong mapilit si mommy ee. I had to tell her. She has to know din naman."
"Ayus lang yun kuys. I totally understand." He smiled.
"Basta ingat lang kayo ha? Huwag kayo'ng papahuli." He nodded as his response to what his brother had said.
After getting all the stuffs he needed, and dumped all to his car, he bid goodbye to his mom. Pia reminded him of what she has said earlier and to slow things down. He nodded and immediately drove to QC, dwelling on the things his mom has said.
