"What is so hard for him to tell me?!" I screamed in frustration while talking to Emma on the phone. Jade was out of town in the mountains, so she couldn't be contacted.

"I don't know, Madison. But maybe he has a good reason..." She kept calm throughout. She has this gift to deal with people.

"Yeah, but if he does, he can give me his damn good reason! Ashton knows when something is good or bad to say, and when he doesn't say it, it means it's bad!" I exclaimed dropping on the bed backwards.

"You never know..." Emma trailed.

"You know, this would be much easier if you came over..." I laughed, changing the topic for a moment. I then heard a loud noise and some rustling and then she came back on the line.

"Sorry, I dropped my phone..." She said. I could hear her smile through the phone, I chuckled.

"So...?" I ask.

"Duh! Its my last day with my best friend, there's no way I'm gonna miss the offer!" She squealed. My heart shattered, for somewhat the second time today. I never go anywhere without my best friend. Especially Emma. Jade and I aren't that close, we only really hang out at school, but I and Emma not the other hand hang out all the time.

We have known each other for 15 years and 156 (and counting) days. Yes, I know exactly how long we've been friends. We've had a couple of arguments, but we solved them in a matter of hours.

Whereas with Jade, well, I've only known her for like 1 and 1/2 years. We haven't gained as much trust as me and Emma have. We are alright, we hang out and all, but we don't really have such a strong relationship/bond if you know what I mean.

*10 minutes later*

"Hey! Where's your brother?" Emma says after giving me a hug and walking through the door. Emma is as tall as me, she has the perfect shade of blonde in her hair mixed with a couple of  darker strands. She has grey-ish blue eyes that sparkle at anytime of the day and she has beautiful natural rosy cheeks.

"Um, I don't really know. I think in the living room since the door is closed. But I don't wanna bother him... He's got his own problems..." I rolled my eyes and Emma and I ran up the stairs. She was wearing a baby blue skirt, with a baby blue blouse and a baby pink button up shirt under the bluse. She looked absolutely perfect. (I'm straight by the way...) Her hair was wavy and rested perfectly on both her shoulders. She had a necklace just on top of the button up, which was a seashell which I adored. She looked like she was gonna go meet the Queen Of England.

"So... You're going on tour?" She frowned. Did I mention she can sing like an angel? No? Well she can, she's always dreamed of doing something like this.

"Yeah... But I don't wanna leave you here..." I hated leaving Emma. She always needs me. I mean, sure, she's part of a rich family and no one rich ever misses anything. But, well she does. She barely sees her parents anymore. They're always working extra hours. Both of them are doctors and they have early morning and late night shifts. And of course during the day, Emma goes to school.

They don't have Weekends together either. Her parents are normally on some kind of date or don't wanna see her or talk to her. That's like that almost every day for her. But she keeps going. She keeps smiling, and laughing with me and she keeps understanding and listening.

Sometimes, I'm the only one there. When she's stressed out or when she needs help, I'm there. Jade always ditches for some party and her parents aren't there. Most of the time I listen when she cries. I listen when she talks. Sometimes all people need is a hug. Its not good to keep hiding your feelings, sometimes, you've just got to let it be.

"I know, Madi, but you can and you will." She smiled lightly.

"You're gonna be okay?" I ask softly.

"Yeah.." She gave me the thumbs up.

"You sure?" I ask like a mother. But seriously though, she's like my sister, I don't want her getting hurt. School can be a mean place, especially for her. Since she's not exactly good at standing up for herself. That's normally my job.

"Yes, Madi, I'm sure. You don't have to worry about me so much you know?" She giggled.

"Okay fine..." I smiled. There was a knock on the door and I hesitated slightly. Emma turned to me and mouthed "its gonna be okay, I'll be with you".

"Come in." She said as we sat on the bed again.

Pretty soon, Ashton's head popped in and soon the rest of his body did too. "Hey..." He smiled faintly.

"Hi." I said avoiding eye contact.

"Hello..." Emma smiled brightly, probably excited as hell that she was in the same room as Ashton. Which is weird, cos those two used to hate each other. I think it was because Ashton broke Emma's sister's heart when he broke up with her...

"Listen, Madison, I'm sorry... I just..." He started and took a deep breath.

"You just...?" I trailed hinting for him to go on.

"I just didn't want my friends to take you from me." He said in one breath. I tilted my head. "Okay, I know it might sound a little selfish, but you mean the world to me, you're my favorite sister for crying out loud! And just the thought of loosing you to those three losers made me jealous..." He looked down. "I'm sorry..."

I went to him and hugged the living life out of my brother. "No matter what, I will always be your sister, you can't change blood, you stupid idiot!" I laughed and pulled away.

"Can you forgive me and my foolishness?" He chuckled.

"Yes, I can..." I smiled and hugged him.

"I feel awkward so I'm gonna join the hug!" Emma said throwing her arms around Ashton and me. I guess that went well. I told you we always make up when we fight.
