"So how did your date go with Aaron?" Kimberly spits full of curiosity and the others are bewildered except Troy who knew what Kimberly was talking about.
"You went on a date with Aaron?" Jenna blurts
"Oh em gee!" Claire shrieks
"I guess I'm the loner now"Claire says sadly with her face falling.
" its okay Claire! Melissa is still single"Jenna spits and I feel guilty all of a sudden.
"Wait--- I thought Melissa was with Aaron" Claire asks scrunching her eyebrows making her nose twitch slightly.
"Yes they were but I think it did not work" Kimberly replies.
Danny comes to our table with a waiter laying our drinks in front of us. There is an art of a Rosetta on top of my green tea latte. I take a sip.
"Do you think Aaron and Melissa were meant to be? Cause Aaron told me once that they were just friends with benefits" I asked everyone in general.
Danny snorts.
"That's true but I doubt they were planning to be a couple" Danny tells me.
"Yeah Melissa and Aaron were just let's say....like what you said" Troy convinces.
"So you think she wouldn't be hurt? That I stole her boyfriend?"I ask them cause I don't want her to have a bad impression about me
" she won't say that! Besides, she hangs out with every guy on the football team"Jenna perks up
"Yeah that's right" Kimberly adds up.
"If you say so" I reply and take another sip of my green tea latte. It helps in soothing me a bit but Jake's words keeps ringing in my head and I feel like I'm gonna explode like a grenade and burst into tears.
I gulp my green tea latte until its finished and slam the cup on the table with no tea left.
"Whoah! You already finished your green tea latte?" Troy asks with a chuckle and I wipe my mouth with the back of my hand.
"Do you want another cup?" Danny asks laughing.
"Yes please." I reply. I don't care if I get intoxicated with green tea latte. I just want to forget Jake and soothe my bleeding heart.
"What's wrong Nicole?" Kimberly asks worriedly as Danny goes to get another cup for me.
"Nothing!" I mumble
"Maybe she loves the taste" Claire defends and I smile but Kimberly still has that skeptical look on her face.
"Don't forget we have to go shopping. Its almost two" Jenna alerts.
"Yeah right" Troy adds
Danny hands me my second cup of green tea latte and I gulp everything in just one second making everyone on the table surprised. Tears threatened to fall but I hold them back as I beg Danny to get me another cup. I feel tired, weak, embarrassed and.....and heartbroken.
"No don't! There is something wrong!" Kimberly tells Danny and he sits down.
"There is nothing wrong! Just let him get me another glass!" I bark at Kimberly and she shudders.
"Guys, maybe she will feel much better if we go shopping right now" Troy says and they all get up.
"Nikki! What happened? You aren't like this"Kimberly asks.
" nothing"I reply breathless as if all the energy in me is being drained out.
"Come on! Tell me" Kimberly urges.
"I said nothing! I'm out!" I bark and ran out of the place with all of them calling my name but I don't mind. I catch my breath and come to a stop when I'm sure I'm far away from them. I walk slowly. I couldn't recognize the area I was in so I took a cab and gave the driver my address.
When I got home, there were lots of missed calls from my friends but I didn't call back. It had began to drizzle and I snug into my room saying a small hello to Steph and Melissa who were helping Trina.
I locked my bedroom door and got my double deckers off. I lay in bed feeling so miserable and crying my eyes out. I quickly reached out for a bottle of Balkan 176 vodka hidden under my bed and put it to my mouth. I tasted the hot liquor and I'm pleased. Jake hurt me again and I fell prey to him! I hate him! But my heart says otherwise. I take another gulp ignoring if it had 88% alcohol. I need it so bad!

I wake up with a splitting headache the next day which was Monday actually. I guess I have a hangover. I get out of my bed and I see the empty bottle of Balkan 176 vodka beside my bed. I grab it and throw it into the trash can. Then I got some pills from my drawer and a glass of water. I took them and looked at the time on my phone. Its 2:28pm in the afternoon. I have been sleeping for so long. Well I wasn't planning on going to school anyway after what happened yesterday. The memories flood in and I feel drinking proved futile in helping me get rid of them.
