Chapter 27 - Something Interesting

Ash POV

I was woken up by wind blowing sound coming from outside. I felt my body getting hotter and starting to sweat. I heard some car crashed into some bin and I rushed over to the window to take a look but I see nothing. I then felt my heart is beating abnormally fast plus my breathing is getting faster. I rushed to dining table and took 1 tablet and chunk it in then grab a bottle of water from the table top and finished it. After 5 minutes, I can sense my eyes are still burning and palm still sweating. I tried to walk over to the couch and rest but I tripped over the carpet and fell onto the floor knocking myself off.

I jumped up from floor after hearing a loud baby crying. I slowly stood up and walked into my bedroom to check the time. Is already 7am and I quickly took my towel and walked into the bathroom to shower and brushed my teeth. After 20 minutes, I walked out from the bathroom and go into my room towards the closet and took a new set of sports bra, a boxer pants, a red checked shirt and a pair of cargo pants. I sprayed some perfume and comb a bit of my hair then walked into the kitchen. I took 2 muesli bars out, unwrapped 1 and eat it while putting my phone into my pocket, wear my jacket and carry my backpack. Once I finished the one muesli bar, I threw the wrapping into the bin and walked near the door to wear my stocking and vans shoe. I unlocked my door, walked out then closed and locked my apartment door. I slowly unwrapped another muesli bar and chewed it while waiting for the elevator to go down to the lobby. Once I reached the lobby, I walked towards the entrance then crossed the road and walked 2 blocks towards the subway.

While nearly the subway, I suddenly felt a chilled down my spine and I quickly look behind to check whether is there someone following me but nothing suspicious because there are lots of people going to work and school during the hour. Once the train stopped, I walked into 1 of the cabin and sat on the chair. Since I still have to pass a few stations before reaching the station, I took my phone out to text Christina. "Good morning love. Did you manage to get some sleep this morning? I hope you are not grumpy for having not enough sleep. I bet Abby can cure your grumpiness with your favorite coffee later. Anyway, I am on my way to the station and will be reaching soon. Text or call you when I am free, okay. Love you.😘😘😘💓 " then I clicked send. I then checked on some local news and there is this news saying a driver passing through some housing area and smashed into some rubbish bin at the front yard of some house when he tried to avoid a dog crossing the road in the middle of the night. 

Luckily he was not injured but had to pay the compensation to the owner of the house. Funny thing is that place is 3 blocks away from where I stayed. "Is this what I heard this morning?" I shake my head because impossible for a normal person to hear things that far way. After 30 minutes, I finally reached the station near the Police station. I stood up and when I want to walk out from the train, someone shouting "excuse me" behind me so I step aside and I see a young man runs towards the stairs. I slowly walked up the stairs towards the subway exit. I then continue walking towards the police station. I waved good morning to the security guard while walking towards the reception area and greeted Penny then walked up to the 1st floor towards my office.

Ash:"Good Morning everyone!" I greeted and some of them greeted me back.

Jonathan:"Morning Ash. Hot chocolate?" he offered.

Ash:"Thanks bro. So any progress of the blue print I requested? Did the admin department send them over yet?" I asked while sipping on cup of the hot chocolate.

Jonathan:"Sandy is onto that and she said should be able to get it by today. This comes for you early morning" he said while passing me a brown envelope.
