Chapter 35 - Action Plan

Ash POV

I was woken up by the alarm ringing from my phone. I turned over and grabbed my phone then turned off the alarm. I got up then changed into my running attire. It has been a daily routine now for me to go for a run my brother. Once I have changed, slid my phone into the armband, put my wallet into my waist pouch then slide in my socks and running shoe. I opened the door, walked out, closed and locked it then walked towards the elevator hall and take the next available elevator down the lobby. I put my keys into my waist pouch once I am inside the elevator. Once I reached the lobby, I walked out and was greeted by a hugged.

Benji:"Good Morning Sis!" he said while hugging me.

Ash:"Morning to you too. Since when you become so clingy like my girlfriend?" I asked joking with him. He then let go of me and looked down.

Benji:"S-sorry. I-I just get overwhelmed when I see you" he said still looking down.

Ash:"Hey!.. I am just joking. I am glad that you like hanging with me and make the brother sister bonding thing" I said smiling at him. "Is been some time right; like 16 years?" I asked.

Benji:"Yes. It has been 16 years. When dad told me and Mama about the news you are still alive, I can't sleep for a week. My mind is busy processing how am I going to react when I see you again. Never did I know that the outcome will be such –".. "Dramatic and action pack?" I interrupted in and he nodded.

Both of us laughing out loud while jogged along the usual track. Is kind of a nice feeling to know more about my little brother and also some actual family of mine beside Christina. Christina is my family, my home but this is a different feeling and the bond is different. After we finished our usual jogged, Benji went back to his house while I walked back to apartment. I took a shower and changed into a new set of sports bra, boxer pants, simple red checked shirt and a pair of black jeans. I then style my short hair a bit, wore my watch and sprays some perfume. 

I took my phone and backpack then slide in my socks and shoe. I unlocked the door, walked out, closed and locked the door then walked over to the elevator hall and take the next elevator down the lobby. Once I reached the lobby, I walked out from the building, crossed the road and walked 2 blocks towards the subway. After 30 minutes journey, I walked out from the subway once I reached the Police Station. I walked across the road towards the Police Station entrance. I greeted the security guard then I saw Penny and greeted her as well. I walked up the stairs towards my office. 

I greeted Jenny who is busy reading some gossip magazine. I then walked into my room towards my desk. Since is still early, I quickly grabbed all the necessary documents and my notebook and walked into the meeting room. Our meeting with the big shots will be 10am later and I don't want to miss out anything and the effort my team had given for the past 2 days. Around 8.45am, people started to come in and ready for the day. I informed everyone to get ready their documents and information for the meeting later. Jonathan then walked towards me and as usual, passed me the cup of hot chocolate.

Ash:"Thanks bro but I thought I have made it clearly yesterday that you don't need to get me any drinks anymore? If you want to thank me about those bla bla guidance, life thingy and stuff, just forget it. This is cooperation between you and me and the team; a team work. So, is nothing to do with any personal guidance or teaching" I said.

Jonathan:"You are 1 of the most stubborn woman I ever met, you know right?" he said shaking his head.

Ash:"Well, I do now" I said mocking him.

Jonathan:"Listen. I am not supposed to tell you this but because of your stubbornness, don't tell anyone that I am telling you this. We good?" he said looking at me strangely.
