Chapter 39 - Mix Feelings

Third Person POV

Once the truck plunged into the water, Ash tried to open the door and swim out from the truck but was pulled down by Charles while the truck slowly sink deeper and deeper. Ash used all her strength and kicked Charles head and his hand and finally after 5 minutes of struggling, Charles hand loosens and she quickly broke the side windows and swim out. Due to the strong current under the water, Ash was pulled down by the current and swept away further towards the open sea and while she tried to free herself by swimming faster, she was knocked unconscious when a big wave raised and hits down against her. As for Charles, he was last seen sinking down in the driver seat of the truck.

Everyone rushed over to the scene where Ash and Charles was last seen plunged into the water together with the black truck. Royal Marine team had sent divers to search the surrounding areas while helicopter are hovering around to search the area. Jonathan and his team rushed to the scene and approached Dominic.

Jonathan:"Any news on Ash?" he asked looking at Dominic.

Dominic:"Our divers are searching around the radius of 10 meters and will slowly expanding. We are trying our best to locate both of them and the truck" he said and Jonathan nodded.

**after 3 hours of searching**

Jonathan:"Is been 3 damn hours and still no news of Ash. What are they doing" he shouted inside the Van parked around the scene.

Jeremy:"They are trying their best I am sure and it is hard to search around because the water current is flowing too fast. We just need to let the pros do their job" he said.

Sandy:"Anyone is hungry or wants any drinks? Peter and I are thinking to get some food or drinks as we are going to stay here and wait" she asked.

Jonathan:"Can get me a coffee...Anything will be fine" he said.

Fiona:"I am going with you guys" she said then slowly walked over to Jeremy while he is busy scanning the area from the CCTV and also monitoring the drones. "Don't stress out. You need anything?" she asked squeezing his hand.

Jeremy:"Y-Yes....C-can I have a hotdog and a cup of coffee, anything is fine" he said looking at Fiona and she nodded and smiled at him.

Three of them then walked towards their SUV and drove out from the scene to get the stuff they wanted.

Jeremy:"Is lucky that Ash don't have any girlfriends else I really don't know how to break this news to her" he said then Jonathan froze from his seat. "Does she have any close friend?" he asked.

Jonathan:"SHIT! I got to make some calls. I will be right back" he said then hurriedly walked out from the Van.

Jonathan walked further away and started to dial Vivian's number. *ring ring*

**starts of phone conversation**

Vivian:"Hello..." she greeted.

Jonathan:"Hey..Sorry for calling you at this hour.. Free to talk?" he asked.

Vivian:"Sure.. What's up?" she asked. Jonathan took a deep breath then huffed out. "What's wrong? Is there something happen to Ash?" she asked frantically.

Jonathan:"Yes..... S-she .. Ash is missing" he said while Vivian let out a huge gasped.

Vivian:"What do you mean by missing? What the hell happen? Aren't you guys caught the bad guy and the mission is over?" she asked.

Jonathan:"Ash was on the same truck with the bad guy when he tries to run away. Then the truck plunged into the sea and we are searching for them now. It has been 3 hours since she went down with the truck but still no news about her yet" he said then Vivian gasped again.
