Chapter 43 - Sacrifice

Christina POV

Abby, Mark and I were sitting in the café for almost 20 minutes after our order and waiting for Sophia and Ash. Suddenly, we heard some of the people outside rushing to somewhere.

Abby:"Why are those people rushing over to that corner?" she asked.

Christina:"I also wonder. Maybe there is some celebrity on the street that is why people are rushing over to catch a glimpse of them" I chuckled.

Abby:"Why there isn't people rushing over at you then?" she smirked looking at me.

Christina:"Maybe because you and Sophia didn't do a good job promoting me or getting me on the billboard often so no one notice that I am also a celebrity" I said getting a glared from Abby. I then chuckled.

Mark:"It seems that there is a shooting happen at the corner" he said while showing me a movie clipped someone recorded live just now. I then noticed Sophia was on the floor.

*ring ring*

Christina:"Yes my pretty manager. Where are you ...".."Darling.. Ash was shot. We are at the corner of the street. Please come here now" Sophia said while crying then ended the call.

Abby:"You okay sweetheart? What happen? Who is that?" she asked shaking me.

Christina:"W-we g-got to go now. Ash was s-shot. That was Ash lying on the f-floor" I said rushing towards the café door where Abby was shouting and calling be from behind while I ran towards the group of people.

Ash was lying on the floor with blood seeping out from her left chest onto her shirt. I quickly sat down and held Ash onto me and start calling her.

Christina:"Baby... Please wake up.. Please stay with me. Is just less than a day we get back together. Please don't leave me.." I cried holding onto her.

After 10 minutes, ambulance came and I had to move aside so that the paramedics can put her onto the stretcher and carry her into the ambulance. I climbed into the ambulance so I can be with Ash. I told Sophia to get to the hospital with Abby and Mark. I sat there crying and holding onto Ash's hand while paramedics worked on her; checking her vital and heartbeat. Is lucky that Ash's heart was born on the right and I know that this is not a serious injury but Ash did lose a lot of blood. We reached the Hospital after 10 minutes' drive. 

I was instructed to climb down the ambulance then the paramedics unload Ash and nurses started to push her into the Emergency Ward. I wanted to follow but was barred from 1 of the nurse and asking me to wait at the waiting hall for further noticed. Abby, Sophia and Mark reached 10 minutes later. Both Abby and Sophia ran over to me and hugged me while I cried. A doctor walked out from the treating area towards us.

Doctor:"Family of Ash Bishop?" he asked.

Christina:"They are not here and I am her girlfriend" I said while the doctor gave me a surprised look.

Doctor:"Okay. Well, ermm I am Dr. Ivan and I am now in charge of Ms. Ash Bishop's case. She had a gun shot on her left chest which is not serious and lucky that her heart is not born that side. She did lose quite of lots of blood and she is very weak now. We have sent her to her ward at the 3rd floor and you guys can go and see her now" he said then I held my hand for a hand shake.

Christina:"Thank you Dr. Ivan" I said then walked together with Abby and Sophia towards the elevator where Mark walked following behind.

Once we reached the 3rd floor, we walked over to the nurse station to inquire on Ash's room.
