Chapter 11 - Friend or Girlfriend?

Christina POV

I was frustrated and mad at Ash because she addressed me as her friend rather than girlfriend. I start to think about our relationship; is she being real with me or just playing with my feelings? Is she ashamed of me? Does she really like me as how I like her? Did I over think things again? Maybe she has a reason for saying that? The more I think, the more I get frustrated. I have been ignoring her ever since we got out from the music store until back her apartment. Should I ask her why she said what she said? Should I just grab my stuff and back home? I heard Ash went into her bedroom and closed the door. I start scrolling my phone and reply some text messages and also some post. After a while I felt tired then lie on the pillow and slept.

Ash POV

**phone call**

*ring ring* "Hey! What's up love? Missed me?" she asked. "Ermm, hello..." I sounded sad and she noticed. "Hey, what happen? You can talk to me right?" she asked in concerned tone. "I don't know what I did. It was all good in the morning until 2 hours ago when something happen then she being cold with me after that... Is like I am talking to myself every now and then where she just scroll on her phone sitting on the couch ever since we are back from the mall" I said with a disappointing tone. "What happen? Maybe you start to tell me and explain everything slowly so I can help you.." she asked.

"Well, I roughly know why she acts cold towards you" she said "What is it? Did I say something wrong?" I asked. "Basically who is she to you?" she asked. "Viv, you know the answer to that right? I told her. "Yes I know but she didn't... You just address her as your Friend, love. How would you feel if she addresses you as her friend one day to her friend or to someone?" she said while chuckling. "How can you still laugh at this moment of time, Viv.... I am feeling that I am going to die soon due to lack of air to breathe because she is the air I breathe, man..." I told her. "Okay...I am serious now. She is basically mad at you addressing her as your friend in-front of other people while she is basically the love of your life or your girlfriend" she said. "But I thought is a normal thing for all celebrity to keep their love life low profile until they are more stable and I thought that as I don't want to jeopardize her carrier since she did so much the past years to reach and achieve where she is now plus I haven't asked her the question yet as I am planning to pop this question during our date tomorrow. Am I not right by doing this? Did I over think again about this?" I asked while rubbing my forehead. 

"Yes what you did and think is correct BUT she doesn't know all these because you didn't explain to her why. You know how woman over think on certain stuff especially relationships right? She might think that you just friend-zoned her or being ashamed of her after she expressed herself to you while you just didn't expressed much back to her. That is why she is beating herself inside by not knowing why you did what you did... If you want to settle this, please go and explain to her why you address her as your friend instead of your girlfriend. I think you should pop the question now IF you don't wish to lose her" she said in a concerned tone. "I think I know what to do now, Viv... Thank you so much and I don't know what my life will be without you around me" I thanked her and give her a kiss from the phone "Well, please don't say such okay. We are best friend remember? Better go now before is too late, love... Good luck and goodbye " she said. "Good bye Viv" I give a kiss on the phone before ended the call.

After ended the call, I slowly stands up and walked towards the bedroom door and opened it. I then walked out from my bedroom and look at the living hall. Christina had her eyes closed and laying her head on the pillow. I slowly walked over to her, knelt down beside the couch then slowly touch her hair. She jerked awake from my touch and her eyes shoot open wide. She then quickly sits up.
