Brexley's POV

"How'd I do, guys?" Joe asks.

"Great, as I knew you would," I tell him.

"Awesome, as always," Nick says supportively.

Then the frigid wind blows, seeming to cut right to Joe's core. He shivers violently, teeth chattering as he stands before us.

"Here, layer up before you freeze to death," I say.

"Too late," he responds.

I wrap his gray parka around him, zipping it up all the way. Nick loops the black scarf I brought around Joe's neck as I hand him gloves and his Yankees beanie with the pom pom on top.

"Thanks for this," Joe says, securing the hat over his ears and pulling on his gloves.

"I've got your back. You know that. Are you any warmer?" I ask him, and he nods.

"This is a lot better. Thank you. Now, did I actually sound good before?" Joe asks.

"Of course! You did fantastic," Nick says, and I agree.

"Good. I was kinda nervous," he tells us.

"You didn't look nervous. You were awesome," I say, and he looks considerably happy.

"Sweet. I'll see you guys after the interview," he says, bro hugging Nick and giving me a high five before making his way over to where he's meeting Ryan Seacrest.

Nick and I locate our spots to where we're supposed to be watching this interview easily; they will be up on a platform near the button to make the ball drop, and we're right underneath it.

"What time is it?" Nick asks me.

"11:48. He's supposed to start at 11:50," I say, and Nick nods.

"It's weird to see him doing interviews and I'm not by his side," he says.

"Yeah, I'm sure. He probably wishes you were, honestly," I laugh.

Our attention shifts back to the platform as we see Ryan and Joe walk to the center of it, smiling and joking around. Here it goes. Time for my brother to let his charismatic personality shine.
