Brexley's POV

We turn onto our road, and then, in a few short minutes, Dad pulls the car into our driveway. He helps the four of us bring our luggage inside, lets us know that he and Mom plan to have dinner ready by 5, so we have some free time for an hour and then we should be back downstairs and in the dining room. Then, we carry our suitcases upstairs to our old bedrooms.

"This is so weird to be back here," Kevin remarks as he carries both Danielle's and his suitcases into his old room, on the left at the top of the stairs and across from Nick's room.

"It really is. How long has it been?" Joe asks, and Kevin shrugs.

"Long enough, that's for sure."

"Guys!" Frankie yells, tearing out of his bedroom at the sound of our voices.

"Hey, Tank!" Joe says, brightening at the sight of our youngest brother. "How are you?"

"Better now that you guys are here. I missed you!" Frankie says.

"Missed you too, Frankster," Joe says, ruffling his hair. We all give him a hug before he returns to his room and Kevin and Dani enter their own to take a nap.

Joe and I head down the hall, across from Frankie's room, into our own room that we share. Though the house has a few extra bedrooms and we could've easily had separate spaces, we always wanted to be together and we chose to just have one. It's a twin thing, I guess.

"I forgot we put that tape line down the middle," Joe says with a giggle as he turns the light on.

"We wanted to share a room, but we also wanted our own space," I remark as I stare at the tape line, dividing the room exactly in half and giving us each our own side.

"Well, stay on your side, then," Joe jokes, putting his suitcase down next to his bed on the left side of the room. I do the same on the right side, and then we admire our decor from when we were eighteen.

"Man, did I love Switchfoot," Joe says, staring up at all the posters of the band above his bed.

"Apparently so. And I know I only had this poster to piss you off," I tell him, pointing up at one of the It's About Time album cover, the one Joe hates the most.

"Definitely, and you still won't take it down, will you?" Joe asks, and I shake my head no with a cheeky smile on my face.

Not tired enough to take a nap, Joe walks over to his desk, which is against the back wall underneath the window and holds his record player. He turns it on pretty loud, deciding to play some obscure Jonas songs and starting with 6 Minutes.

"Wow, you had a beautiful voice back then," I tease him, and he sticks his tongue out at me.

"So this wasn't my best vocal performance at age sixteen. Please Be Mine was much better for me," he says.

"Prove it," I tell him, and he obliges, turning it on.

"I guess you're right," I tell him, and he smirks.

"Thank you." Then, he turns on Time for Me to Fly.

"My goodness, listen to Nick's voice," I say, and Joe laughs.

"Very, uh, high-pitched," he says, and I nod my agreement.

"Definitely."

"Joe! Some of us are trying to sleep!" Kevin calls angrily from down the hall.

"Sorry!" Joe calls back, grinning at me as he raises the volume slightly.

"Joseph, I'm going to kick your ass!" Kevin says, and we hear him come stomping down the hall towards our room in a rage. Seconds later, he throws the door open, and Joe cackles as our elder brother throws him on the bed and turns the record player off.

"Sorry, Kev. We'll keep it turned down," I tell him, fighting back laughter myself as Kevin glowers at us.

"Danielle and I would appreciate that," he says, closing the door behind him as he leaves.

Once he's gone, Joe and I make eye contact and burst out laughing once again at Kevin's reaction. What a drama queen. But we do make good on our promise, and though we continue listening to old Jonas songs, we keep the volume down low. No matter how fun it is for both of us to annoy our other siblings, because it makes us feel like we're kids again, we're not trying to make everyone mad at us on the first night. We have the whole week to do that. And do that, we will.
