During following weeks, April had been left confused. She questioned whether she was still in a relationship or if Roger even still loved her. She was still respectful towards Roger even though she barely knew where he was or what he was doing. Everyone began to question Rogers actions too, yet said no one said anything to spare April the sadness.

Eden picked up on the small pool of depression that grew inside April and decided to take her out. Since this happened, she secluded herself to her room and shut her self out from the world, aside from uni and church. Eden and Kaea arrived at April's house around 6 and spent the following hour getting April ready to face the world again.

They had "unofficially" broken up.

April was reluctant to leave her bed. Constantly staring at her phone waiting for him to text. She let all her negative thoughts feed her anxiety and make a bad name for herself. She kept fighting the thoughts, reminding herself of the good person Roger was, yet she hadn't seen his good side in months. April refused to believe he had tossed her aside just like he usually did with girls.

An hour later the girls were satisfied with the way April cleaned up and left the house on their journey into the northern beaches. Dinner and dessert on the beach was the best form of therapy for April. Although she refused to believe they weren't together anymore.

"He's an idiot," Kaea noticed the consistency April had in checking her phone, hoping for a call or even a text from him. Eden took it upon herself to take her phone away for the rest of the night. April shrugged, she didn't like it when people spoke bad about Roger and felt stupid for defending him in public.

The three continued eating their ice cream on the sand and admired the waves as they crashed against the sand. The light breeze set the perfect mood for the girls, where they didn't need to worry about sand being brushed into their dessert. April admired the bond that the three shared. They didn't spend every week with each other yet nothing seemed awkward or changed when they were together.

Eden felt a buzz and looked at April's phone, with an alarmed expression.

"He's calling you" April wasted no time, snatching the phone off Eden. She answered the phone and walked away.

Roger - Where are you!?

April - I'm out with Eden and Kaea

Roger - you never told me this. I'm coming to get you. Where are you

April - Manly

The reply April heard was the clicking noise, like when someone hangs up. A small tear left her eye as she tried to wipe it away before the other two realised.

"What happened" - Kaea

"I have no idea. He was angry and asking where I was and then he hung up" April shrugged before asking if they could go home. Kaea and Eden didn't fight it and only agreed.

As the three pulled up to April's house, they saw Roger sitting outside. April attempted to dismiss the other two but failed as they accompanied her outside. The two remained glued to her side. The girls could smell the alcohol from where they stood.

"You should leave" - Eden

"I just want to see my girl" Roger shrugged staring at April who avoided eye contact.

"I'll ring Sefa to take you home because you're drunk" - Kaea

Roger began yelling saying he wanted the other two to leave so he could talk to April alone. The commotion must've been loud because several seconds later Christian came out the front door. It didn't take long for him to roughly piece together what was going on and ushered the three girls inside, much to Rogers dismay.

Christian took Roger for a walk to cool off while they waited for Sefa to arrive. Sefa was a grouch when he arrived and yelled at Roger to get into the car. The last thing he needed was to babysit one of the boys because they were acting irresponsibly. On the way home, Sefa continued to lecture Roger for the way he been treating April over the last few weeks and hit him with bullets of words. Sefa even chucked in that Jason would've handed his ass to him if he was still here. Roger just didn't seem to care.

Sefa was oblivious to the open fact that Roger wasn't even listening yet Sefa felt no need to force him too. If he was going to continue to treat April the way he was then Sefa would take it upon himself to intervene and break the two up. Roger falling for April clouded his perception of "protecting" which meant Sefa had to step up and take his place. And Sefa was going to do it properly and it didn't matter if Roger was his boy.

Meanwhile back at home, Eden and Kaea stayed the night to comfort April. April was confused and didn't understand why Roger was like this. She began reevaluating all her actions and thinking what could trigger him to act the way he was yet she couldn't find anything.

Love is like this sometimes. Believe me. It isn't easy and no one knew the battles of love harder than Kaea or even Kenai.

April dialled Kenai's number in hopes that he would answer and she was successful.

Kenai - Hey A, everything okay?

April - Things with Roger are kinda rough at the moment. I don't know what changed but I barely see him and we barely speak and I really doubt relationships work that way

Kenai - Did anything trigger this?

April - Not that I know of. One day he didn't answer my texts or messages and I went to his house to find him drunk but it was weird. He had feminine perfume on his and it wasn't anything I own. And there was a heel in his room that didn't belong to me

April had fed lies to herself to cover this so much that she forgot this happened. Eden and Kaea's eyes widened to hear this. This was the first time April said out loud or even thought about what she saw after that day. April heard silence on the other side which made her stomach feel uneasy.

Kenai - If Roger doesn't see the amazing, one of a kind and unique girl you are then it's his loss. Don't ever think you have more to lose because I assure you that it's an ultimate loss to lose you. Sometimes we follow our heart but it hurts us and we have to use our head instead. Please whatever you do, do what helps and benefits you the most okay. Don't sacrifice your happiness. Add on to it instead.
