"Your majesty, the Sea Oracle is here."
The King of Korallia, Seokjin, looked up at his advisor and nodded. "Let her in." He said.

The guards opened the double doors - revealing a woman with raven hair cascaded gracefully around her shoulders; her eyes were green like the emeralds and glowed slightly; her skin was porcelain - making her red lips and her eyes stand out and her tail had a mix of gold, pink and purple.

The woman had no accessories unlike other mermaids - who decorated their bodies with pearls and shells, but a big pink Coral headband on her head. The Sea Oracle was beautiful nonetheless and her name was Jisoo.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, King Seokjin." She said with a small smile.

Seokjin nodded. "Likewise." He then looked at the other merpeople in the throne room. "I'd like to talk to her in private."

They all obliged and bowed before they left the throne room except the Sea Oracle.

"What is it that make the king feel uneasy?" Jisoo asked.

"The sirens." Seokjin answered sternly. The thought of them made him mad.

Jisoo was unfazed on that and nodded in understanding. "Ah, I see you are seeking for a prophecy." The king nodded in response.

"Give me your hand."

He put his hand out and the Sea Oracle grabbed with her both hands; closing her eyes.

Everything was quiet until Jisoo snapped her eyes opened - they were glowing green. When she opened her mouth, green mist came out of it as she spoke:

"Oh, Great Sea King, Korallia is in dire
It is because of King Habaek's desire
A never-fulfilled oath you make shall break
Enemies come for the trident to take
On the orb of the night, your reign shall end
On the Prince of South do now depend
Your final words, the trident listens
Sacrifice shall be made, price to be paid."

Jisoo closed her eyes again as she panted.

Seokjin just looked at her with gawked eyes. Despite being a merman - having thick skin to adapt in the pressure of the sea and the cold, he felt chills running down his spine.

The king swam to the double doors and banged them open — making the advisor looked up quickly at the his king.

"Sejin." Seokjin called as he swam to his advisor with a serious look. "When is the next full moon?"

Sejin quickly replied, "In 10 days, your majesty."

"The Sirens are planning to attack on Luna Day." And the advisor paled. "Tell the generals to start planning thoroughly to protect the kingdom — in and out while the celebration is going on. Go!"

The advisor bowed before he left.

As a king, it was his duty to protect and to serve his kingdom even if it meant death.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:
I'm sorry for the late update. I was having trouble to make a prophecy out of poem.

Also, character's death isn't my forte but ugh! I have to if I want the battle to look realistic. I did it once in my first TaeKook FF (I will not tell who died in that book) and I felt sorry for them.

Right now, my head is smoking from over thinking so see you on the next chapter.

Please give this book a vote and a comment. They give me motivation to continue writing. :)
