It was late at night and everyone in Korallia were asleep... Except for Jimin — who kept on tossing on his sponge bed. He laid on his back and sighed — letting out tiny bubbles from his plump lips.
He sat up and rubbed his face in frustration. ' Why can't I sleep?' He thought and got off the sponge bed.
"Guess I have to take a stroll." He mumbled to himself and swam his way to door. He opened it slowly and took a peek at the hallway to see if there were any palace servants roaming around. However, there were none.
Jimin slowly walked out of his chamber and quietly closed the door behind him. He looked around one last time before swimming down the dark empty hallway. It was quiet... Too quiet.
The blond prince, then, thought about his nightmare. ' Those sirens... I hope what I had was just a dream and not a vision.' He thought. ' Luna Day is tomor—" Jimin's thought stopped when he heard murmurs from the distance.
Out of curiosity, he followed the sound of murmurs and it got louder and louder when he swam near the two big double doors.
' I know it is bad to eavesdrop but I can't help but know what is going on.' He thought and leaned close to the doors. Opening one of them slightly, he saw a colorful tail and a pink coral headdress and someone in pink.
"Why fate is so cruel?" Jimin could hear the king asked with a venom in his voice. "I promised him, including to the days I did not know I was a Prince, that we would be together and unite both worlds again."
"But no, tomorrow, I will die protecting the kingdom without him, knowing what is going on here."
Jimin gasped quietly. ' So, it is a vision after all.' He thought and continued to listen to their conversation.
There was silence for a moment and he heard a mermaid sigh. "I know that you want your people and his to get along so that both kingdoms would be unified and peaceful but..." There was a hesitance in her voice. "Sometimes, promises are meant to be broken, your majesty." She said.
"... I need some time to think but thank you for coming." Seokjin said but it sounded restraint.
"Of course, farewell, your Majesty."
Jimin gasped and swam away from the doors quickly. He frantically turned his head side to side to find a hiding until he saw a big statue and hid there.
He saw a glimpse of a colorful tail coming out of the chamber. Jimin peeked a little and saw the Sea Oracle swam away with a graceful movement.
Once she's gone from his sight, he slowly swam out of the statue and sighed in relief.
"Prince Jimin?"
The blond prince let out a squeak and turned to face the king — who had a confusing look on his beautiful face.
"Oh! Uh— g-good evening, y-your majesty." Jimin mentally cursed from stuttering.
"Come inside, Prince Jimin." The king said with a small smile and swam aside. "Let's have a late night talk."
Jimin gulped and slowly swam inside. The king closed the door and swam in front of him.
"S-so... W-what are we going to talk about?" Jimin stuttered again.
The king chuckled and put his hand on his shoulder gently. "Jimin, we're cousins. Loosen up."
Jimin looked up to him so fast that his neck would have snapped from his head.
"C-cousins?" Jimin asked.
"We have the same great grandfather, your grandmother and my grandfather were siblings."
